Hi Girls, just thought I'd start another day meetup thread for May. Not sure when half term is though, see if we can squeeze one in before then?

Will have to look for another outdoorsy type place incase the weather is nice, with the Watford Playdome (or whatever it's now called) as our rainy day plan.

What do you think?

Janstar · 08/05/2004 16:42

Right! So that's Friday 21st May at Moor Mill, Smug Oak Lane, Bricket Wood (map link below) I will be there about 12.15 - Join me when you can!

In case of bad weather - Kidsports on Woodside leisure park, Garston at the same time.

melsy · 08/05/2004 17:15

In my diary looking forward to it

Kayleigh · 08/05/2004 20:19

It's a date

karen99 · 10/05/2004 10:51

Great! I think we should confirm on the Thurs which place we're going to.. cos the weather varies so much across london. I might wake up and have rain whereas you might have sunshine?!?

Check in next Thurs(20th).

The weather forecast is good so far.

I'll be there. I might even attempt to walk (It's about 2 miles. Not normally a problem but haven't done it since I broke my ankle).

Anyone who wants to come to tea after at my house is very welcome.

Janstar · 19/05/2004 10:19

If anyone is worried about not being able to find the place email me for my mobile number as a backup measure.

Kayleigh · 19/05/2004 12:08

I'll be there.
Sorry can't stay for tea as have to pick ds1 up from school

Kayleigh · 19/05/2004 12:09

melsy - do you want me to drive ?
although i'll have to leave about 2:15 so if you want to stay on we might be better taking two cars.

tammybear · 19/05/2004 12:13

I will most likely need a lift karen99 lol. It is this friday right?

muddaofsuburbia · 19/05/2004 12:49

Day after tomorrow - is that right? I'll be there - probably closer to 1pm, but earlier if I'm organised enough (hardy har har )

Janstar · 19/05/2004 13:00

tammybear - it's a lunchtime meet, yes it is this Friday. Pay attention!

Shall we agree to hang out at the table next to the playground area cos the kids are bound to head straight for it? That way anyone who hasn't met any of the others face to face stands a better chance of spotting the group. It's quite a big place and there are over 100 tables outside.

karen99 · 19/05/2004 14:15

No problem tammybear. We can consider this a dry-run! I have your mobile so I'll ring you when we're setting off and will pick you up at the same place as for the 5th. Do you have a car seat? I have a signing class with ds which finishes at 12pm-ish. I think the best option is probably for me to leave straight from that to yours and feed ds when we get to the Mill(even though his lunch is normally 12:30, I'll have to shovel rice cakes and currents in his direction in the car!)

I will attempt to drive myself !!!! I dont want to hold you up Kayleigh. Im just trying to work out how to get there. M25 till junction 21a I think.I just have to plan really well how toget there so i dotn panic. it will be a good thing to face. Looking forward to it, is the tables area easy to spot girls??

Janstar · 19/05/2004 17:57

Melsy, 21A is right, take the A405 towards Watford.
Take the first turning on the left, Oakwood Road (petrol station on corner)
Follow this road right to the end (at the village shops) then turn left.
Follow this road till its end too.
At it's end, turn right, go over the bridge and then turn left into Smug Oak Lane (by the Gate pub)
Moor Mill is about a mile along Smug Oak Lane, on the left.

melsy · 19/05/2004 17:59

OOh thank you for that Janstar star !!! I will print off and stick to my dash board!! I might be early as I will leave with enough time to get it all wrong and end up in outer hebridis & turn back as you do (will only me)!!!
