Nanou1 · 13/11/2006 14:00

hi guys! just a quick hello. have not been on here for a while cos got court at work and made to feel like a teenager ... anyway thought i'd dare today. missing you guys and i hope you are all coming to the next dinner so that i can catch up with you all.

MrsBojangles · 13/11/2006 14:35

caught at work doing mn?!? outrageous you have to learn to be a bit more covert

Just been to dentist as the tooth that had a root canal in September is killing me and yup will have to be redone as an infection crept in ARGH

harktheheraldfoxessing · 13/11/2006 18:48

Mrs Boo - haven't been there since DS had his party there in June. It can be a bit manic during holidays and weekends.

Our fave venues are the Science Museum and Climbers and Creepers.

How old are the children again?

Hi again Nanou - glad to have you back again

harktheheraldfoxessing · 13/11/2006 18:49

Nanou - you'll just have to be more sneaky in future

Mrs B - ooh you poor thing about your tooth

MrsChristmasboo · 13/11/2006 19:29

Ohhh MrsB just read your thing about the tooth! Really feel for you, poor love.

Children are 4, 3months (obv he won't be playing!) 3, 6 and 5. Not all mine i must add. Would be in a straight jacket if they were!

Wheres Climbers & Creepers? Heard of it but can't remember where from....

sfxmum · 13/11/2006 19:33

nanou i thought that MN use was a perk of working in an office, surelyskeeky lessons required from more experienced sneekers

harktheheraldfoxessing · 13/11/2006 19:43

MrsBoo - C&C is inside Kew Gardens. So you'd need to either borrow some passes or pay to get in if you haven't a season ticket already...

The Science Museum is brilliant though, specially the launch pad, which is a huge room full of activities.

Whereabouts are you based again (sorry - mind like a sieve)

MrsChristmasboo · 13/11/2006 19:46

Used to live in Ealing but now in Ruislip.
My mum has a free pass to Kew Gdns so maybe drag her up there. Haven't been to Science museum for years so maybe i'll get dh to come with us one day....

harktheheraldfoxessing · 13/11/2006 19:58

MrsBoo - I find Snakes and ladders Ok if you go after school actually. Its just during "peak" times it all gets a bit our of control (i.e. they let in too many people).

MrsBojangles · 13/11/2006 20:31

thanks all for the tooth sympathy I'm so glad I've got 600mg ibuprofen tabs

Went to the Natural History Museum at the weekend. DD loves it there because of the dinosaur exhibition and ds loves it because it's brilliant to run off and give mummy a heart attack because there are so many corners and corridors

2quokkasandaparetree · 13/11/2006 20:39

hey has anyone heard from Uwila? She normally checks in during the week, and the last I saw of her she was getting on the bus on Fri night?

Paddlechick666 · 13/11/2006 21:36

evening all

Uwila alive and well, she left my place about an hour and a bit ago!

we had a plan to have the kids play and us indulge in a nice takeaway.

except it took me an hour to do a 3 mile round trip to get the food!

Sorry Uwila, was great to see you tho and really appreciate your coming over.

your 2 are a lot of fun, and your dd was so sweet with mine.

;-)

harktheheraldfoxessing · 14/11/2006 07:09

MrsB - LOL I always lose mine in the Science Museum!

PC666 - so you have got Ulwila have you? Give her back, she's ours!

Seriously am getting of everyone elses meets etc. Wish I had the energy to to do something sociable.....

MrsBojangles · 14/11/2006 07:13

what's energy? Been awake/up since 02:00 curtesy of ds... he's lucky I haven't gone to find a mallet! I'm ready for despearte measures and will ask pharmacist for phenergan today! LOTS OF IT! and maybe some valium for me?

harktheheraldfoxessing · 14/11/2006 07:16

MrsB - You poor thing!!! When do you see the dentist again?

MrsBojangles · 14/11/2006 07:18

dentist is next Monday. It's not the tooth keeping me awake it's that dradded son of mine! Rapidly getting to end of tether again

harktheheraldfoxessing · 14/11/2006 07:20

how about a nice glass of red with his dinner tonight?

MrsBojangles · 14/11/2006 07:25

very tempting, saying that the one time he did get some beer by accident (dh left a bottle with some within reach) he didn't sleep any better ... and I thought hopps are supposed to be calming ;)

Paddlechick666 · 14/11/2006 08:04

i set Uwila free into the night around 8:15ish!!!

i'll come visit you soon Foxie, promise. My Saturdays are just a bit busy at the mo.

MrsB, sorry about the tooth and the awakeyboy. Can't offer any advice on what to do but really hope you find something soon.

dd went 9pm till nearly 6am today - i am in shock! that's almost 2 nights in a row!!

am starting earlier routine tonight tho - tea at 5pm, bath at 6pm asleep by 7pm

HA HA HA! Watch this space - I am not overly confident!

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 14/11/2006 08:52

Did anyone see the bf show last night? There was this woman who bf her dd till she was 8. Her dd only stopped because she lost the sucking reflex and couldn't get milk out of her breast. She also let her dh have her excess milk when her babies were younger.

There was this other woman who was bfing her 4 year old ds so she would still have milk for her adopted dd from China so the lo would be less scared and have the comfort of bf. Unfortunately, the lo was 18 months old by the time they brought her home and wasn't keen to bf. That brought a lump to my throat.

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 14/11/2006 08:57

btw, mrsb, sympathies on the toothache and sleepless night.

pc, my dd slept from 9 to 6 night b4 last. she woke up a couple of times crying for milk but went back to sleep when we gave her her dummy. she woke up with dark circles under her eyes. I felt guilty for fobbing her off with her dummy.

MrsChristmasboo · 14/11/2006 09:04

Just to refresh my fuddled post baby brain, where are you all based again?

MrsB sorry for the bad night, i will admit to using Medised on my ds1 sometimes, works a treat....
