Has anyone thought tho of maybe doing between xmas and new year???? can escape the high kiddies maybe???. Feel free to pelt me with rocks tho if that is just too hard to throw into the dates mix.

Am off now tho as have a meal out tonight with simons work at Mrs T's. ooh....thats a good place and yummy scrummy food.....tis in westbourne. Am assuming that no-one has yet settled on a place to go to yet....

PS......Catj.......please don't feel ignored by my promise to text.......have all been very sick here plus DS1 has been in hospital for an op. Illness in this house has been going round in circles mutating and re-infecting, (what with the many kiddies), and has now been over 6wks of yack. Really will get in touch as (assuming the next week is illness free), I am finally free all day long () as ALL are now full-time at school.

Well my social life is so nonexistant that its sods bloody law that so far the dates have clashed with something I've already got on. I think I could do the 14th - what days that? I'd also be up for the time between xmas and new year depending on the day.

I can't do between xmas and new year as i'm not here then.

Can do the 14th I think and i'm having my hair done that day so that'll fit in nicely .

LOl delgirl - this is my xmas treat from my sisters. Madness in concert on the 7th and then an overnight with my lovely sisters and a day with them in the city and then back late in the evening They asked if I wanted to bring the children with me - you'll never guess what I said[grin}

13th sounds good. You a nurse, Surfermum? At Bournemouth? You weren't in A&E on the 13th Nov. were you? Bloody carnage it was, what the fuuuh was going on? My Mum had a stroke and was admitted on apparently the worst day in years. The patients were lined up like buses and allegedly some of them weren't even being taken out of the ambulances cos there was nowhere to put them! Scary.

Anyway, me digressing. Where would this meet up be? Has a venue been decided? Would there be anyone else turning up to meet a load of people that they don't know? Other than me?

Don't worry about not knowing anyone, we're a friendly bunch. I went to my first meet up without knowing anyone. DH said to ring him if I needed a lift home. I rang at midnight and woke him to be told "you silly moo, I meant if they were weird and you wanted to leave, not when you were drunk and needed a lift home for you and your new buddies".

Mum's on the mend now, Surfermum, thanks for asking. Still fragile though, just need to keep an eye on her. Ah, in your line of work I can see why it wouldn't do to turn up hungover! My mind's a bit more put at rest now about turning up without knowing anyone.

Hey Surfer - you missed a bit! You didn't say how you turned up and there was a weirdo sat there by themself with no-one else around for ages! Me!!!
Psychomum am leaning towards your going out between Christmas and New Year suggestion. I have so much going on up to Christmas now. The thought of going out on a Wednesday night is a bit worrying. The date suggested is the night before going to work and sitting through dd1's nativity play Not good!
