Local Mum's - Bedfordshire - Anyone Out There???

Really hope someone hears my voice in the wilderness!

I'm a 35 yo mum living in Flitwick. My son William's just turned 1 and is sooooo adorable, however I'm struggling

My pals live in London mostly, and they're nearly all childless. I feel isolated, I guess - not aided my the fact I don't drive (medical reasons).

Anyone out there???

...I still advocate an evening for any that're up for it - minus kiddywinks just makes life easier methinks (plus I for one like the break!). Also, it gives me a chance to live up to my MN name...

How's about we name a time and a place and then see who shows????!!!! Brave words or pure madness?

Those of you in Flitwick and with young babies, are you aware that there is an NCT meet (bumps and babes) each Wednesday afternoon in the village hall? It's a good way to meet other mums in the area, and you don't need to be an NCT member to go.

suburbanjellybrain · 04/11/2006 09:09

spoke to nct rep about flitwick meetings but she started asking about my toddler - how active/ big etc. as the toddlers can be disruptive if most of the group are 1st timers with newborns - anyway it put me off a bit

ChablisGlugger · 06/11/2006 10:26

Yeah - I've been put off the local groups - went to one and really didn't like it (neither did ds!). Plus, it'd be nice to have a meet up which is just about the mum's (ie minus offspring); though I love being mummy to ds it's never good to only be mummy methinks...

Still up for a meet
