Brighton Xmas meetup

Hi there everyone. I really want to get our Xmas meetup sorted as I'm sure places will get booked up soon.

So far we have suggested Sat 6th December and talked about Pub Du Vin.

When I looked at their menu it was £35 for lunch which I think is a bit pricey. How about we consider it for drinks afterwards instead?

I check out All Bar One and their xmas menu is £22 with some deal on wine. I know we've been there and done that but it does have a big space and it's very central.

I've had a look at some other 'more interesting' options but they're either evening only, too expensive or unable to take large bookings.

So, please send me any other suggestions to look into or vote for ABO and I'll let you all know if we need deposits

I'm more hungover this evening than I was this morning :( I couldn't sleep last night and kept having to get up, was up for an hour between 2 and 3 and wasn't very well in that hour :( But it saved a really horrid hangover in the morning!

It was worth it, definitely, but yes, I'm another who needs to learn their limits! I did switch to water at some point though, I also bought a bottle of wine at that wine bar which then didn't end up being drunk That never usually happens

Completely off topic but: booking the wedding at the moment, trying to figure out timings. Ceremony at one place, then a meal at a restaurant and then trying to find somewhere for a piss up. What time should the ceremony and meals be?

We had our ceremony at 1.30 and food at 4. The timings weren't great though, I was starving by the time food came round - possibly because I couldn't face brekkie :)

So when's the next one?

Pixie, in answer to your question we had the ceremony at 3 & the meal at 5ish but it was all at the same place.

I don't know, who said they'd organise it?

& Thanks :) Trying to work out timings. We're now thinking of doing the meal in Brighton so that we can go out after, but DP is refusing to budge off of getting married in Lewes -_- I can't find anywhere for a meal in Lewes though! Would likely still come back to Brighton for drinks though.

Have you tried the Pelham arms or Shelley Hotel?

I will arrange the next MN meet up but have a mad Feb as away in India,so it would have to be 28 Feb for me, ok? x

I will have to duck out of Feb meet up I think. The last two weekends I'm busy (babysitting for bosses birthday and going to a friends wedding). I think the second weekend is half term so probably not a good weekend for anybody!

Jealous of you going to India!

Doesn't have to be Feb,it was just a suggestion. I have no plans for next year at all yet!!
