Based on Cretaceous Era Mumsnetters' availability (and I don't just mean dino!)
Sign up here please and I will try and remember to e-mail Kayleigh about it too!

where exactly is the meet up?

frogs · 26/09/2006 10:55

Me too, please! Should be around then, if I can drag myself out of my primordial swamp...

Dino -- have been very rubbish about emailing, as my life has been taken over by Events. I think we've missed the boat on that film but will keep my eyes open for other options.

Marina · 26/09/2006 10:56

Good question prettymum, precise venue not yet decided. Uusually somewhere like Spitalfields Market or Pizza Pomodoro near Liverpool St Station. Although bink and dino introduced me to a lovely Japanese restaurant round there as well...
Yes, all welcome!

Hello
Wonder if I could join you or is that being cheeky since you don't know me from Eve?!
Am City-ish, near Aldgate East. Due Dec with number 2, working p/t Mon-Weds. It would be great to meet some City Mums. Btw, don't know if any of you are expecting? Anyway, I could make that date, though not before about 1-ish.....

Marina · 26/09/2006 12:01

New lunchers and old lags all welcome Tweedledum . I am most definitely not expecting, thank goodness, but hope all is going well with you

Bink · 26/09/2006 12:07

Marina, I thought that restaurant a wee bit noisy - being able to hear each other is an essential for a Good Meet-Up, don't you think?

Not sure if I can come, but am definitely piqued by frogs' ref to Events.

Marina · 26/09/2006 12:08

Fair point bink (about noise) now all we have to do is serve a D notice on Frogs so you HAVE to come in order to get the update...

No exciting Events, bink, sadly. Just attending an interminable round of open evenings / information evenings at schools, piles and piles of work, and trying to get our house into a condition where we can reasonably expect to sell it. The latter in particular very time-consuming.

bundle · 26/09/2006 12:18

I hope to come and fill hoxty in later...tee hee, xxx

tweedledum · 26/09/2006 12:19

Great, look forward to meeting you all. I'll be the enormously pregnant, slightly grumpy one (I was never one of those who glow in pregnancy); easy to spot. Though will of course refrain from any actual grumping during lunch..

Bink · 26/09/2006 12:21

House sale, frogs? That's most definitely a big Event and raises all kinds of interrogation urges which I will suppress (for now).

Oh dear, now you're all going to be expecting something really exciting! When actually 'tis very mundane:

Loads of work
An evening event at dd1 new secondary school practically every week
3 days last week travelling up to West Midlands for work and prospect of similar for next week
Frantically doing bits of decorating/tidying and cleaning like crazy to keep the guys from F*xtons happy

No, I'm not pregnant.

And no, we're not moving away, just planning to relocate further up the northern line (Archway, hopefully) for dh work reasons and dd1 school reasons.

Look forward to seeing you all.

Hi Love - may surprise you and come along - keep driving past you and have bibbed a few times and got a weird look - though ok you don't recognise me but you probably feel good being bibbed up by a raving lesbian (not that I am but you may think I am for bibbing at you!!!)

Where are you going??? DS is a little shit and needs to be tied down or hemmed in so maybe I should wait till he is a bit older????

Twinkie1 · 26/09/2006 22:05

No love, Marina - her little one goes to school up the road from me and I often see her clumping up the street dragging said child along!!!!

Think your a good sort though, though!!! (not that I am a lesbian though I have to say!!!, but if I was I would deffo shag you!!!)

Novembergirl · 27/09/2006 06:43

Hi Marina,

Lunch on 17th Oct is a great idea (thanks for organising). I am just back from hols and trying to sort out the mess that is my work so, hopefully, I will be less frantic/stressed in a few weeks!

Marina · 27/09/2006 09:15

Hello all!
Sorry I have been blanking you twinkie car horns are so much a feature of the Avery Hill Road/Southwood Road I obviously didn't hear you! One person's clump is another person's happy stroll though Glad you can make it.
Kayleigh can't, she thinks - too busy amassing millions on her new business venture, but if her plans change she will be there!
And I'm so glad you saw this novembergirl as you sounded so desolate about work when you posted earlier this month and hardly anyone was around Hope the return is not too grisly
