Hello, I live in the Bristol/Bath area and am finding being a new Mum and not being from this area a really lonely experience - I'd love to meet some other likeminded Mums in the area - anyone there?!

Mornings or evenings good for me, prefer Bath but don't mind central Bristol.

dingdong · 20/04/2004 16:17

gosh this is tricky...!!! I'm not great for evenings really...... which is a shame because Id love to meet you! would anyone like to meet up one morning then??? I can drive to Bristol or Bath so whichever you prefer...!!! do you get the feeling we're going round in circles here!!!

Look at the Wiltshire thread, can we decide on a date?!!!!!

waterbug · 23/04/2004 12:29

hello, I posted on the wiltshire thread yesterday and this is only my 3rd post, so I'm still new to this. This meet-up thing seems to be a bit difficult getting everyone together, but I hope something can be arranged, I'd love to meet up with other mums in the area.Bath or Cribbs would be best for me(I hate going into Bristol!) and I can be flexible when it comes to dates and times, though evenings would depend on dh working or not.Hope we can get together soon.

Hope to chat to some of you a bit more before then.

dingdong · 23/04/2004 19:56

hi - I will be there - how about John Lewis - in that "garden" bit of the restaurant where there are full length windows and decking?

Can't make that date either. Sorry.

waterbug · 05/05/2004 11:29

helloooo, where is everyone??
Are we still meeting up next week?
Dingdong, did you get my e-mail address?
Someone speak to me!!??

rubyt · 05/05/2004 13:42

waterbug - I'm still on for next week

waterbug · 05/05/2004 21:29

rubyt-that's great. How will we know each other though?I haven't been to the John Lewis's restaurant before, but from your description the garden bit must be fairly easy to find.

lukie · 05/05/2004 21:38

Can I come? I know John Lewis in Cribbs but how do we recognise one another?

dingdong · 05/05/2004 22:05

I'm really really sorry but I won't be able to make that date now - I will be away until the 1st June but I would LOVE to meet up as soon as I get back... Waterbug I emailed you back...? hmmmmm don't know what went wrong there?! I thought you'd gone quiet!!!! would love to see you soon!

OP posts:
waterbug · 06/05/2004 10:29

Hi lukie, the more the merrier!I don't know how we are going to recognize each other...,could be embarrassing, couldn't it!!Maybe we could just meet up by the entrance of the restaurant.
Dingdong- I don't know what went wrong there,I've just checked all my recent e-mails but it doesn't seem to have arrived here
I'll try the 'contact another talker' thing again, maybe they got the address wrong. Why don't you send me yours, then I'll write to you?!

rubyt · 06/05/2004 19:08

the garden bit is the raised bit to the right as you walk in - it's got full length mirrors on the right of the room. I shall have my little one in a high chair and I will put his hat (stars and stripes) on the table - very cloak and dagger!!!!

waterbug · 06/05/2004 19:38

ok, stars and stripes it is - hope I'll find you.
I'll be on my own (children in school-yeeesssss!!!!)
how old is your little boy?

waterbug · 06/05/2004 19:40

dd1 has just suggested that I dye my hair blue so you can recognize me!!Somehow I don't think so.

rubyt · 10/05/2004 20:17

waterbug - I am SOOOO sorry but I won't be able to make it - my little boy is covered in spots and I think he has chicken pox - dr's appt tomorrow morning - can we re-arrange?

waterbug · 11/05/2004 09:27

sorry to hear that rubyt, good job I checked here before I set off for Cribbs!
Let's re-arrange then, but I suppose that depends on your ds, hope he's not too bad if it is chickenpox.
Oh well, looks like I'll be painting the kitchen today then, since I've no excuse to go to Cribbs now.
