Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

Enough said really. Anyone up for a chat over some good grub & fine wine?

JackieNo · 21/09/2006 18:25

Possibly - although I'd have to drive. I've done public transport back from Oxford of an evening before (though not for years), and it's not generally much fun.

Jazzi · 21/09/2006 18:27

Would love too!

RanToTheHills · 21/09/2006 18:32

great, that's 3 of us then! Anyone else? Any suggestions of good places to go - Jericho?

RanToTheHills · 21/09/2006 18:34

There is a Tapas bar in the Old Castle which is very nice.

iota · 21/09/2006 18:39

RanToTheHills · 21/09/2006 18:59

brightwell · 22/09/2006 15:28

I'm fairly new to this forum, been lurking for a while, I'm in Abingdon.

JackieNo · 22/09/2006 15:31

Welcome Brightwell - I'm between Didcot and Abingdon.

Jazzi · 22/09/2006 15:33

Where are you JackieNo? I live in Wallingford.

JackieNo · 22/09/2006 15:35

I'm in Drayton.

Jazzi · 22/09/2006 15:36

Know what you mean about the public transport from there. It is the same here!!

JackieNo · 22/09/2006 15:38

I've done the last train to Didcot from Oxford on a Friday and Saturday (though not for absolutely years), and it's usually a bus filled with vomiting teenagers. Really grim.

JackieNo · 22/09/2006 15:38

sorry - that sounds really strange, but they often used to replace the last scheduled train with a bus, iyswim.

iota · 22/09/2006 15:45

oh dear- big reservoir coming your way JackieNo

JackieNo · 22/09/2006 15:45

Yes - I know. Might never happen, there's a lot of opposition.
