I've looked at AB1 and they will only let us do a buffet menu; they range from £8-£11 a head. They also do drinks packages.

Would everyone be happy with this? They'll want to take a deposit so if we want to do this I'll ask for everyone to paypal me. I don't know how much it is yet though.

Why can't we order from the main menu, we did last time? Is it worth trying Al Duomo (I know it's not that exciting but the food is good & it's not that expensive). I don't want to be fussy but I'd rather have a meal than a buffet, but happy to go with the majority.

If everyone is happy I'll try Al Duomo tomorrow.

I've booked a table for 10 people (below) at Al Duomo for 1pm on the 9th.

The table is booked in my RL name (for those who know it); otherwise just ask for 'Balls'.

I dreamt about this meet up last night. Except because it was a dream it turned into a kind of posh buffet, with one MNer who looked like Cruella de Ville. And when I asked what things were on the buffet I was told they were fish tits. I woke myself up laughing.

I called Al Duomo and tried to add 2 people. They're now telling me that we'll have to go on a waiting list and pay £5 a head deposit. FFS.

Does anyone have any ideas for a Plan B? Pho were really good last time IIRC, they don't officially book but were a bit empty at 12.30 and got us all in.

Mememe! I can come along for the whole thing! Not working this Saturday :) As long as I can be fit in of course :) Al Duomo charged last time too, was a right faff!

Sorry, just got back from camping so missed the discussions! :) Arrived at 20 to seven and within 2 hours I had my car unpacked, ratties home and a free pizza from Pizza Express because their online ordering system is a mess. Happy days!

Ah, scrap that, I can come for a non-boozy lunch. I'm babysitting from 5:30, I thought it was Sunday :(
