Any takers for a cheap Sunday out soon - probably in London would be best.

Suggestions for where are welcome...

Trains arae mixed with bus services so am still a little restricted.

I can get into Euston for 11am, did we decide on a place? Tate Modern?

Not sure when I'll be able to get back to mumsnet for an update, but will definitely before Friday

How long will it take you to get from Euston to Tate Modern Fizog? Would 11.30 be OK? Shall we say we meet between 11.30 and 12.00 at Tate Modern. A good place would be the circular bench-thing in front of the cloak room, it's on the ground floor off the Turbine Hall. I'm sure it will be no problem at all having lunch in the Turbine Hall if the weather is bad, if it's sunny we can go sit outside. What do you all think?

Fizog · 22/04/2004 12:36

Yes between 11:30 - 12 at tate modern sounds fine. Should only take 20mins from Euston to Tate. I'll find the circular bench in front of the cloak room and will bring DD a packed lunch so we can eat wherever.

I doubt I'll be able to get back to mumsnet again before sunday so can somebody email me with final details or if anything changes.

TIA - see you all there

Really sorry about this, I was so looking forward to finally making it to a mumsnet meet-up but I'm not sure I'll be able to come now. dd's started with a really lousy stomach bug today which dp has had since the beginning of the week. She may be better by then but may not and I'd hate to pass it on to anyone. If she makes a full recovery I'll come along to wherever it is you plan to meet and look for a group of moms with buggies and introduce myself. But don't hang on for me.

Oh Evita, what a shame, I was looking forward to meeting you. I do hope that your dd gets over it quickly (and that you don't complete the Ring-a-Rosey!).

11.30 onwards at the circular bench in the Turbine Hall - sounds simple enough.

mammya · 22/04/2004 22:38

just to make sure you all find it: that circular bench is not actually IN the Turbine Hall, it's in front of the cloak room which is just OFF the Turbine Hall. If you look at this floor plan , you can just about see the bench on level 1, under the symbol for "baby changing area".
Not sure how clear this all is, hope you all find it!

Fizog · 23/04/2004 10:14

I've looked on the map Mammya - will hopefully find you.

Ixel, Lexi, Peamo - are you still coming?

Fizog · 23/04/2004 12:53

Bump again - Anymore takers?

How long will you be at that bench area? Dd seems a bit better today so I may make it after all but maybe not for 11.30.

mammya · 24/04/2004 20:40

Guys I'm afraid I have bad news... I've had a text from Fizog to say she can't make it tomorrow morning, and I can't come either. Sorry! I don't know who else was going apart from us two, Evita and Prettycandles. Hope you two still go and have a great time!
Again sorry for letting you down.

prettycandles · 24/04/2004 21:07

Evita, how's your dd? Does it look like I'm going to be a Mumsnet Meetup all by my lonesome?

Evita · 27/04/2004 21:37

Oh, prettycandles, I only just read this post of yours. I'm really sorry this didn't work out. I kept checking right up until Saturday evening and then guessed it probably wasn't going to happen anyway. I would've come if I'd known you were still going. What a shame.

mammya · 27/04/2004 22:03

Shall we try again?

Evita · 28/04/2004 22:15

Yes!
