Any takers for a cheap Sunday out soon - probably in London would be best.

Suggestions for where are welcome...

OK for Tate Modern on the 25th!

Evita · 23/03/2004 20:49

Yep, count me in.

prettycandles · 23/03/2004 21:25

May I/we join too? I get the impression that the babies are all under 2 - is that right? Because if so I might leave ds to have a boys' day out with his dad, while I come with dd.

Fizog · 25/03/2004 14:08

PrettyCandles, my dd is 20months... yes come along and bring dd

Damn, will miss it because will be on holiday (it's a hard life ) but hope you all have a good time!

prettycandles · 25/03/2004 15:03

Lovely - it's in the calendar now. Looking forward to it

mammya · 27/03/2004 21:42

My dd is 3 Prettycandles, how old is your ds?

Evita · 28/03/2004 21:05

What sort of timing shall we aim for? Morning? Afternoon? There's nowhere that great for lunching there is there? If it's nice there's outside, or we could meet after lunchtime?

mammya · 28/03/2004 21:15

Picnic in Tate? We did that with Fizog last time, in Tate Britain. Or picnic in Royal Festival Hall? If weather is good, outside?

Fizog · 29/03/2004 09:03

I think a picnic is a good idea, then we can play it by ear depending on the weather.

Sorry you're on holiday Meanbean - maybe we could organise something similar for May?

Mammya, ds is 3.6y, dd is 15m. dh rather likes the idea of going to TM together, then splitting up for a while and meeting up again later. I confess I rather like the idea of only having one of them for a while!

maomao · 31/03/2004 20:01

ooooh, might I be able to join you with my dd (10 months)?

mammya · 31/03/2004 20:57

I'm pretty sure you can maomao... in fact it would be lovely!

maomao · 01/04/2004 08:01

Oh no, am I right that you are all getting together on April 25? If so, I will be away (for once --- I usually never go anywhere!)!

Will you promise to do it again sometime? I'm especially sad because I'm quite the museum geek (did a lot of museum work in the States), so I LOVE museums!

Evita · 02/04/2004 21:14

Royal Festival Hall's definitely the better for eating in I think. Tate Modern there's the Turbine Hall area but I think the security guards might move us on! Nice day we could do outside though.

Evita · 02/04/2004 21:15

Do all our kids still have naps? My dd sleeps usually 12-1.30 / 2ish. She'll do it in the pram no problems so long as I move her around a bit.

Lexi · 03/04/2004 13:34

Would 6 mnths be stupidly young to tag along? He's starting to get interested in things now... but I'm going stir crazy in the house!!!

Fizog · 05/04/2004 10:08

Lexi - of course come along... dd is 20/21 months and luuuurves babies.

I don't mind where we eat.

My baby Milo will only be 2.5 months then but I'd love meeting some London mums and Tate sounds great but Festival Hall will be brilliant too if people think it's a good place for picnic inside, is this the plan, or cafe or outside picnic?

Ixel · 07/04/2004 08:45

In that case, we'll come.... looking forward to it. Is everyone bringing buggies? Don't want to be the only muppet bogged down with one, but cant face the papoose all day either! Where abouts do we meet? Easy instructions please; Haven't been there for a while.Ooohh, I'm getting all excited now!

prettycandles · 20/04/2004 15:41

Are we all still on for this?

mammya · 20/04/2004 21:12

Yes I am, anyone else?

Evita · 20/04/2004 21:15

I'm still up for it. Shall we finalise details / times etc.?

prettycandles · 20/04/2004 21:54

Shall we aim for morning so that we can have lunch before napping the dears in their buggies?

Fizog · 21/04/2004 12:33

I need to check the trains are running ok (lots of disruption lately). Hope to still come though. Not been around for a while due to work commitments. Thought I better make time to see if this was still on.
