August 2006 Newcastle and surrounds meet up!

ok so there are lots of threads now that have newcastle in the title! This is a new thread to try to get us all together asap!

There are quite a few people from nearby on the childbirth thread at the moment (qe versus rvi for delivery) so now might be a good time to get people together.

Who's up for it?

Just to add, there are lots of lovely mums and dads there too.

Tell you what Hippyhoho I might see you there this week. I've been meaning to go but always end up doing something on Mon or dd has her jabs etc but this week I'm free.

Where is Trewit Road? Is it off Chilli road?

I'm free most of the time to meet up. Thursday's are the only days that aren't so good for me as dp is off work so we try to do stuff together. Does someone want to pick a date for a big meet up?

Hippyhoho, I was at the mum and baby social but I couldn't think of a way of identifying myself short of standing up and saying " I'm LaDiDaDi, would Hippyhoho please stand up!" lol .

I did wonder who you might be, does your dd have an unusual very pretty name beginning with S?

Off to France and Disneyland for a couple of weeks now but back in time for start of new school term. My kids are a bit older and not too interested in soft play although Adventurelands is brill!

Hi there Ladidadi. No I'm not the mum with the baby whose name begins with S although she is a bit more hippyish than me. My DD was the crawler with the long hair, her name begins with A. There were too many new people there for me to work out who you were. It was funny though I was sat wondering all afternoon if you had come.

I know who you are! I think! My dd was the smallest one there, her name begins with an L and I have dark hair and had a pink top on .

We'll know who to look for now when we meet up. I'll be at baby social again on Monday but EVERYONE shall we meet up next week?

I have a dd is nearly 14mths will try and pluck up the courage, I know where chilli road is but which one is Heaton Road (is it the one with a funny shape church and leads down to the corner house and Coast Road)

Its ok for me, not too far of a walk. But we could postpone if it is trickier for others.

ulysses, where in co. durham are you? i am on the e. durham coast, south of Sunderland.

I think that we should postpone as I have just heard from a neighbour that skyapple cafe is closed, perhaps because of summer hols. Will see you on Monday at mum and baby social.

forgot all about it till neighbours finished sorry. Agree its very horrid outside and i'm a total wimp and won't go out if its thunder and lightning, let me know when you rearrange

We went in the end! Hippyhoho and I had a lovely time in skyapple cafe which was open, only closed on Mon and Tue during school hols apparently.

We will have to try to sort out a bigger event soon.
