Jambuttie has pointed out the previous thread has got too long, so here is a new thread!

To repeat my last posting: are we all still up for the picnic on Sunday 13 August, Stirling Uni?

So far the takers are:

Toothache
Twiga
Vitomum
Tassis
Jambuttie
Aimsmum
Gscrym
Gomez
Eulalia
Prettybird
Spub
Ja9
chapsmum
Maybroon (possibly)

.... and are there any other takers?

Aimsmum - confirmed, (+ dd,5)

Anyone else?

Where in the grounds should we meet? Shall we say 12.30? Check weather forecast on Saturday and if it's good, we should assume a picninc, if not we'll go in to the McRobert Centre?

Aimsum: would you like a lift?

OP posts:
prettybird · 07/08/2006 13:35

A "bump" to remind people.

OP posts:
ja9 · 07/08/2006 22:50

gosh it's going to be quite a gathering....

looking forward to it. not sure if i'll bring ds or not - he usually sleeps 12:30 - 3 so will probably leave him with dh.

Twiga · 08/08/2006 08:50

Hi all, still coming too! Will have dd with me - she's 11 months on the 14th. Usually eats around 12 so may need to feed her before we come or be very speedy about it once we arrive but that not a prob. Looking fwd to seeing everyone and meeting some new faces. Eulalia, glad to see your still going to make it seens we missed you when we were up recently - looking fwd to getting caught up.

gomez · 09/08/2006 09:13

Us too - two DDs (6 & 2. Are we actually meeting in the MacBob and then heading outside depending on the weather?

spub · 09/08/2006 12:53

Sod. Can't make it.
Have a 1st birthday party to go to in Edinburgh.
Am sure you'll all have a FAB time and if the weather's nice you could walk to Corrieri's for an ice cream....
Hope to come next time.
Have a great meet up.

ja9 · 09/08/2006 13:22

That's a real shame spub.... was looking forward to meeting your new lo. Been searching on here but can't find details of what you had...?

prettybird · 09/08/2006 15:12

Is it easiest just to use the McRobert as a meetng point? That way, if the weather is OK, we an go out for a picnic - and if not, we just eat there.

Aimsmum - do you want a lift?

OP posts:
Eulalia · 09/08/2006 15:40

What time are we meeting please? I need a couple of hours travelling time. I don't want to hold people up though and if you need to move onto another place then thats OK. What are we actually going to do?

spub · 09/08/2006 16:20

Hi Ja9-
Had a little boy. Charlie Matthew (7lbs 9ozs) by c section on June 29th.
Thanks for asking!
He's great and we're all just getting on with it. 2nd time is much easier, I think.
Hope to see you at another meet up or else the NCT sale in October?
How did Emma get on?
Best wishes.

mawbroon · 09/08/2006 16:36

I'm coming and possibly bringing DH but I think he'll chicken out!

Is it 1230 then? Must multimap as I have no idea where the McRoberts centre is.

I'll be the one with ds in a backpack

ja9 · 09/08/2006 19:29

spub - lovely news & great name! Congratulations.

Em went overdue after being 10 weeks early last time!! Wee boy, Alexander Robert.

vitomum · 10/08/2006 07:50

weather forecast is predicting picnicable weather for sunday. Prettybird are you driving up with aimsmum? if so i will gice a lift to aitch71. looking forward to it

spub · 10/08/2006 09:47

Ja9- that's great news re Ema. Please ive her my best.

All of you have a fab time!!

gscrym · 10/08/2006 14:20

Are we just bringing our picnics with us? Before we get there, I can only apolgise for DS's bad eating habits. He will mostly be munching on Nutella sandwiches.

prettybird · 10/08/2006 16:45

Gscrym - I'm in "bad mummy" camp, as ds' favourite sandwiches for his "out of school club" packed lunches are "chocolate jam" sandwiches - aka the Lidl Nutella look-alike!

Dh has just persuaded him to take ham sandwiches, which at least is a wee bit more healthy.

and he gets cheese stings

*and Fruit shoots

(only we've taken to refilling them with ordninary diluting squash)

and a wee sweetie!

and sometimes a packet of crisps.

He does also get a wee container of strawberries, plus a carton of fruit juice (either apple juice of the Lidl Multi-vit)

And the bread for the sandwiches is homemade!

Vitomum - aimsmum hasn't got in touch with me (I'll try a CAT) - but you go ahead and make arrangements with aitch71.

OP posts:
vitomum · 10/08/2006 17:55

gcrsmy and prettybird - i am very reassured by your proposed lunchboxes

gscrym · 11/08/2006 08:57

Toothache, did you get my e-mail? Let me know where and when for Sunday.

Aimsmum · 11/08/2006 21:46

Message withdrawn

Eulalia · 11/08/2006 23:02

Please can someone confirm what time we are meeting and exactly where? Thanks.

Twiga · 11/08/2006 23:13

Hi eulalia, reading back - and someone please correct me if I've got this wrong - we're meeting at 12.30 at the macrobert centre itself, will sort out inside/outside options etc once all there. See you there !

Eulalia · 12/08/2006 09:59

Thanks Twiga. I should have read back myself.

Have got lots of maps so should get there OK. Its amazing what you can get on the web - I have 99.98 miles to travel and a detailed list of where to go practically from my doorstep!

I know you Twiga but otherwise should we arrive armed with a copy of Mumsnet? I guess it will be fairly obvious though

Loobie · 12/08/2006 16:30

Well after being attacked by my neighbour on thursday night, have posted the story on chat,i have a bruised and very sore face so dont think ill be up to coming to meet you all, sorry. Will do next time.

gscrym · 12/08/2006 17:31

Does anyone have Toothaches mobile numbr? If so, could someone text her to ask if she's going tomorrow. I e-mailed her and haven't heard anything back. I wouldn't like her to be stranded.

gomez · 12/08/2006 22:25

Just checking still on.

Can't help with details for Toothy, sorry.

Read about your bloody neighbour Loobie - sounds awful. Don't let the brusing stop you coming but can understand why you might feel a bit fragile for a few days. Hope the kids are coping okay.

See the rest of you tomorrow.
