Hi Girls, thought I'd start a separate thread for the April meetup (that is assuming everyone wants to meetup again after meeting on Friday! ).

Alibubbles found out that the Watford Playdome reopens in April. As Easter is April 9-12th is everyone around the week of 19-23rd? What days are ok (ie. Mon, Tues)?

Hi,

Unfortuantely we won't be able to come on Friday as molly has a really bad cold and slight conjunctivitis, I really wouldn't want to pass it onto anyone.
Hopefully we can come to the the next one as the April dates are fine with me but can't do Tues or Thurs as Molly goes to nursery.

Thomcat · 25/02/2004 17:22

I want to meet up again but not sure this Friday will happen for me and Lotbags. I've been off all week, feeling v grotty still and she has a rash all over her now! Greeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttttttttt!!!!
Just going to give her tea, bath and calpol in that order.
Will see how we all are Friday morning.
TC xx

I can come only after 3pm Mon-Thurs, after 12 noon on Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays are fine.

karen99 · 27/02/2004 09:05

These things always seem to happen when you try to meet up! Plus it's snowing with us! [the reason why we cancelled the last one!!]

Hope you all feel better.

Maybe we can try a date in March? Also I've seen that some MNetters meet without the 'appendages' in the evening - we could maybe do that sometime.

Do you guys want to try a Mon/Wed/ or Fri in March?

misdee · 27/02/2004 09:11

i'm on holiday that week. maybe the next one eh.

Thomcat · 02/03/2004 10:13

Sorry I didn't reach on Friday girls. I was actually in Watford, visiting a friend with new baby and had planned to drive straight onto Bushy to meet up with you but Lottie fell asleep in the car and that was her 2 hour nap then and then it was late lunch and it just didn't happen, sorry.

Hopefully next time.

karen99 · 12/03/2004 12:17

Alibubbles - what was the name of that place you mentioned by the M25 - Willows or something?

Or we could meet at the Watford Playdome in April?

OP posts:
Janstar · 12/03/2004 12:26

I have lots of extra free time with ds in the Easter holidays by the way.

alibubbles · 12/03/2004 12:32

Willows farm, London Colney, I think it opens at the end of March. here

Kayleigh · 12/03/2004 16:25

Willows farm is lovely but only if the weather is nice. Not a lot to do if it's wet.

sykes · 12/03/2004 16:29

Sorry to interupt this thread but am staying with friends in Hertford this w/end - is it worth a visit IF the weather is nice? If I remember correctly it's not that far from Hertford to London Colney???

alibubbles · 12/03/2004 16:49

sykes, they are not open until the 27th march.

sykes · 12/03/2004 16:51

Thanks, Alibubbles, I seem to be following you around today.

Janstar · 12/03/2004 17:04

Sykes, if you are coming up here, do drop in and see me! Have a cuppa on your way through.

sykes · 12/03/2004 17:07

That's so kind, Janstar. I'll have the dds. Where are you? We'll be staying in Bengeo, Hertford. Or do you have time for a quick drink in Hertford late afternoon?

Janstar · 12/03/2004 17:09

I'm emailing you now.

sykes · 12/03/2004 17:12

Hope it gets here as I'm leaving the office in about ten minutes and my e-mail at home is different. Maybe I should e-mail that. Do you have any small children or anything to worry about? Only asking as younger dd seems a bit under the weather and don't want to infect you all.

karen99 · 13/03/2004 10:18

Great Alibubbles - Willows Farm looks like alot of fun. Maybe we can have that as Plan A and the Playdome as Plan B (unless anyone can suggest somewhere else) and we can check the weather nearer the time.

I wonder if anyone from the N London meetups would like to make the trip to join us?

Hi girls, we have been to willows before, the kids enjoyed it. My middle one is 7 years old and he is doing the willows thing with his class at the end of march. I found it a little expensive at first, but once you are inside, the rides are free, and the boys enjoyed the trampalines, and I'm sure I still have a discount voucher somewhere. The easter holidays would suit us too. And their jacket potatoes aren't bad on an empty stomach! I have 3 boys, 9/7/ and 20 months. Would love to meet you all..... The Playdome I know nothing about though?????? Hi, Kayleigh!!!!!

karen99 · 14/03/2004 11:01

Hi survivor! It would be great if you could join us.

Easter is April 9-12th and we also mentioned the week of 19-23rd... which would suit most people? When exactly is the school holiday - 5-16th?

I must admit that hubby is taking the 9-16th off so unless he wants a day doing DIY I might not be able to make it that week.. I'll speak to him.

OP posts:
Janstar · 14/03/2004 11:10

My dh is taking that week off too. But he would come with us as you know.

It all depends what day and time for me. But ds doesn't have play group or childminder that week so generally we're more flexible then.

Grommit · 14/03/2004 11:31

week of 19-23rd is better for me...can we all agree a day? Mon or Fri?

Janstar · 14/03/2004 11:40

If we're doing Mon 19th I can only come after 3pm. Friday 23rd I can get there after 12 noon.

Karen, school holidays = the dates you said.

alibubbles · 14/03/2004 16:20

School hols are the 26th March to 23rd April!!

Janstar · 14/03/2004 19:14

Your school hols are different from ours, Alibubbles. How come they are so long, my daughters always get two weeks at Easter?
