Thought I would start a new thread as the old one is getting full.

Next meet up is on Wednesday 10th April, 10ish at the Durham Botanical Gardens. We will either be in the entrance or staking a couple of the picnic tables by the pond.
I will be giving Vikinglady a lift.

You are right and they are totally and utterly wrong

I only interfere when it appears that Dd risks actual hypothermia with her clothing choices t shirt, shorts and flip flops in the snow, anyone I can't wait to see what she (and the boys) come up with when they are teenagers. Grin

WannabeFayeMouse · 05/11/2013 12:05

I have a DD2 like that. DD1 was always more conventional, though now she's getting more tweenie it's all trackie bottoms and boots (with hair tossing and grumpy face accessories)

DD2 has her own approach let's say… but absolutely, let them choose and decide what they like (it's self expression innit?) She also tends to interpret the school uniform a bit. I wondered about that, but actually decided if the teachers cared they could tell her, because I don't really care. No one has cared thus far. In Germany they can wear what they like, which will be great and like the old days here :)

VikingLady · 05/11/2013 13:58

What, give your children a choice?! Shock

You do know you're making a rod for your own back? You'll spoil them! I bet you even let them get muddy (mutter mutter)

Grin

V is starting to express clothing preferences. Currently she wears her wellies most of every day, though I do take them off her when she naps, so her feet dry out.

juneybean · 06/11/2013 12:58

Well I booked for 6 at 6pm anyways so least I don't have to change it!

I'm going to see my charge in the morning now so will be at Ebony for 3pm ish! :)

Indith · 06/11/2013 15:50

woop! afternoon cocktails here we come. Am going to work my arse off the rest of this week so I shall feel no guilt. Thanks for booking juney.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 06/11/2013 17:48

Woo yaaay!

goldenretriever · 06/11/2013 17:56

A gaggle of little girls wearing princess dresses make me want to dress mine up as a member of the Village People. Definitely up for bus back, Indith, but not sure if I would be able to make it for bang on 3 mainly as my smallest one is having a behavioural week from hell, especially with her father...

Indith · 06/11/2013 19:28

Oh dear, toddlers.

my smallest one is mummy mummy mummy at the minute and being incredibly difficult to get to sleepin the evening. Just as he was staying to settle ok and sort of sometimes sleep all evening Hmm . Little sod. He's much bet when I'm not there. I might just move out. writing this from my phone in bed having made myself scarce when he wasn't looking as that is usually best way of getting him to settle for dh but I can hear him crying. If I go down he will chew my nipples all evening.

my phone doesn't know the word nipplesHmm . hope this one learns new words well. hate breaking in new predictive text.

I need to do more clothes shopping. tempted to go before drinks. Though will then have bags with me. But don't know when else I'd get to shop.

ds1 playing away on Sunday so I have to take the girl to her training session. Rugby in the cold after a night out. that'll be fun.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 06/11/2013 20:15

Indith, you would not believe the amount of clothes shopping I've been doing recently all Sainsbury's mind. This new job is a right pain in the arse for having to look presentable. I've even bought a proper handbag Shock and heels Shock Shock Shock . (I have been spending a lot of time with a colleagues who is about 6 foot 4, it is nice to look him in the eye occasionally Grin) I actually got complimented on my dress sense the other day by a v smart London colleague. My friend who knows me better than them absolutely pissed himself laughing Grin

goldenretriever · 08/11/2013 19:21

I have had timely offer from the children's Aunt to take them out for the day tomorrow, naturally said yes!

Indith · 08/11/2013 19:28
Grin excellent timing.

Really looking forward to some timeout and a natter with everyone.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/11/2013 19:56

juneybean · 09/11/2013 20:46

Asbolutely reek of indian food!

Indith · 09/11/2013 20:51

f definite gap in the market! Great to see you all. If my head hurts in the morning I shall blame spiggy.

Do I have to go to rugby tomorrow?

juneybean · 09/11/2013 21:01

No, it's cancelled I'm sure...

goldenretriever · 09/11/2013 21:16

Juney, saw Traffic Warden walking up near The Sands, you made smart move! Both my children were still awake and the smallest one was shrieking for me, groan.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 10/11/2013 14:30

How was the head Indith? And rugby? I got home to find the smallest one asleep at the top of the stairs. Grin

Indith · 10/11/2013 14:58

head ok, Rugby cold. dh came home with pheasants so he is helpfully plucking and drawing those. Because that helps me to sort out the shit tip and then do some work. Sometimes I just want to scream.

TripTuckerIsMineYouVulcanBitch · 16/11/2013 11:59

Scream all you want.
Glad you all had fun, sorry I missed out. BfN thing was well worth going to though.

Must try and organise a Slug & Lettuce meet up before Christmas but just been very busy and distracted lately.

Anyone free next Friday?

Indith · 16/11/2013 12:11

Not really. Not in classes but have essays etc and need to use the time kids are in childcare.

juneybean · 16/11/2013 15:22

I could do Friday morning?

TripTuckerIsMineYouVulcanBitch · 17/11/2013 17:32

Okay Juney. Friday it is, anyone else?

Indoth, will deffo organise something else for when you can make it :)

TripTuckerIsMineYouVulcanBitch · 18/11/2013 11:13

Juney if it is just you and me, I heard there is some really toddler friendly cafe in Washington, do you fancy meeting there? Do you know the one I mean, I'm going to have to do some digging as I can't remember the name of it.
