Hi

My name is Liz, am 39years old and mother to three children, daughter aged 12 from first marriage and two little boys aged 3 and 22 months. Have recently taken career break as finding it tough with two little ones being so close in age, moved area 18 months ago and as I am scottish and hubby is irish, we have no family.
Please reply if you are near to me or would like to email/chat/meet?

Thanks for the reply!! Do you only use your nickname on here? Also find it hard to keep track of postings...i have just clicked on "thread I am watching", is that the only way to keep in touch with things you are interested in/people you are talking to?

I know where Morley is...I think we looked at a house there actually and it is quite near the White Rose Shopping Centre isnt it? Your two little girls are quite close in age too, how do you find it? It is fun with my two a lot of the time but they do tend to argue/fight over the same toys etc, they seem to get on really well with the older one being very protective of the younger one or they are at each other's throat..lol The younger one also wont let the older one do stuff like jigsaws, he just loves to go over and break them up for pure devilment lol. Do you work or are you at home? I worked till Xmas when i took a career break, but I think it was easier going to work at times!! lol
i try to keep myself busy though, go out and about, have met a couple of mums through netmums, another site..hopefully I will get to know people through this..

Hi scotsliz! I'm in between Wakefield/Huddersfield/Barnsley so kind of your way. I work in South Elmsall which is prob your way too!

Some of us are hoping to meet up Barnsley way this Friday so keep an eye out and hope you can join us!

Hi :) I live in Sheffield and have been to a few meets around here and further into Yorkshire too. There are often summer meets around Cannon Hall, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, etc. There is actually a Sheffield lunch meet up, with children, this Friday.

I think most people do tend to stick to nicknames on MN. I do for security reasons - I work in a prison! Mind you to anyone else I am very easily identifable too.

Sarah you have me intrigued...I live near to South Elmsall but another village..does the person you know live in South Elmsall..if it is then I know who you are meaning(have only ever met up with one local mum-rest have been from wakefield way or doncaster/connisbrough. My boys go to a nursery on a Friday so i dont have kids that day so wouldnt be able to meet up this friday...but any other day is fine with me..I drive and have my own car...

We moved to the area just over 18 months ago now due to hubby working in Leeds. We started looking up there but found that houses were way too expensive. Ended up buying a new build in Upton..on A638 Doncater to Wakefield Road?

Where are you?

Ended up hubbie got made redundant not long after we moved but has since got a job over in Howden, so where we are is still ideal as he is two minutes from A1 then along M62 towards Goole

Liz,I think you may know someone with the same name as me with a DS with an unusual name who lives between Wakefield and Huddersfield! I might be completely wrong but from reading netmums threads and speaking to her I think it may be you!!!!

Nice to "meet" you even if it is only in a virtual sense. I really enjoyed meeting Sarah but unfortunately she now stays just a wee bit far away for us to see much of each other..We really hit it off when we did meet though so it is a pity..She seems to have settled in really well to both her new house and motherhood..am glad Smile
