It would be really nice to spend a day at the Bottanical Gardens one weekend. I have a family ticket that will get 5 adults in and unlimited children. We could share costs if more join us
So let me know if you fancy it I am thinking either Saturday/sunday 20/21 may or 27/28 may
we could picnic and let the kids chase the peacocks or roll down the hill Wink
It's a lovely place to visit specially for free

Well, Tamba is a purple dragon with yellow spots, I have tent poles sticking out of my head ... Wink

I dare say Carl could be convinced that carrying a sign that says MUMSNET would be a good idea ...

CarlK · 28/05/2006 20:00

Of course your welcome cat64
I'll have a orange MN logo so we should be easy to spot

If you want Cat64, you can add me to your msn and I can show you a photo so you'll be able to recognise at least someone!

Will be nice to see you again WWB :)

Am sick of the sight of Carl but am sure I can put up with him for a couple of hours Wink Grin

Havent seen whimsy on line for a little while so not sure if shes coming?

WigWamBam · 28/05/2006 21:37

Will be nice to catch up, Tamba.

Cat64, I'll be the very large woman with the tall, foot-stamping, blonde 5 year old girl in tow, and a dh who will be looking a bit like a lamb to the slaughter ... he's never met any MNers before and thinks they're either hairy-handed truckers or mad axe-murderers Grin

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 28/05/2006 21:41

Ive met him briefly WWB - I didnt scare him too much did I? Grin Shock

I have new strappy red sandles... please tell me its a bad idea to wear new shoes (blisters!) to somewhere that will probably be muddy and the heels will sink into the grass... I know all this but am still tempted!!!

WigWamBam · 28/05/2006 21:45

Oh yes - he did meet you briefly, didn't he! And he's met MTS ... when I met her in Birmingham he made me phone him the minute I met her to let him know I was OK, because he was convinced she would be a mad axe-murderer, and that Steven was the pet name for her axe Grin

And the shoes ... it's a really bad idea. A really, really bad idea.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 28/05/2006 22:03

LOL at the axe!

hmmmm will have to go with scruffy trainers then Oh well at least I wont be moaning all day (a little like I did when we went shopping and I wore heels! Must of been mad! You know in that Italian place we went in - I actually went into the bathroom and turned my socks inside out Shock in the hope my feet would hurt less! Grin am a wuss!)

WigWamBam · 29/05/2006 10:09

You didn't own up to that at the time Grin

Dd is kicking off a bit at the moment so it's touch and go whether we'll be coming. I'm also looking at the pouring rain wondering whether this is a good idea!

WigWamBam · 29/05/2006 10:28

As it's absolutely bucketing down, I think we'll probably give it a miss today - sorry. Hopefully we'll catch up soon.

CarlK · 29/05/2006 10:54

shame its sunny here now at the gardens no doubt it'll rain later
