poppiesinaline · 20/04/2006 13:34

Ive never been to a meet up before! How do you know who the MNetters are and who arent? Do we all come with MN stickers on or something! Grin

zoeb023 · 20/04/2006 14:01

I've not been to one before either.

I have dyed red hair, i'm quite short and I have a red Phil and Teds- so I should be easy to spot! lol

OP posts:
poppiesinaline · 20/04/2006 14:08

LOL. I am small with shoulder length dark hair and will have a 12 month old boy in a grey Maclaren buggy and will be looking perplexed and 'lost' LOL

poppiesinaline · 20/04/2006 15:44

So, who's coming then?

Hazellnut · 20/04/2006 15:57

go on then count me in ! 4 May it is - again I may be after 9.30 just because I'm disorganised at getting out in the mornings but will do my best to be as near as poss.

I am short, light brown hair, have one dd who is 15 months and blonde. Buggy is a navy and maroon maclaren.

VTired · 20/04/2006 18:30

Hi Zoeb023...apologies for late reply, haven't had a chance to go online as DS has been down with a nasty bug all week.

Yes, am often in WP (at least once or twice a week) as have family/friends in Ewell/Worcester Park (Green Lane).

Would love to come along to meet up on 4th if that's ok? Have heard good things about KinderCafe but not been. My little man is 14 months and we have a black and gray Maclaren.

P.s Can anyone give me directions as to which entrance to Nonsuch Park I should use to get to the sandpit/swings? Have been wondering for a while.....

zoeb023 · 20/04/2006 19:36

Hi

Be great to meet you. I think there is 4 of us so far.

I've not been in Nonsuch park, whats there?

My son is 14 months too, I also have a 2 yr old.

OP posts:
sixtwosix · 20/04/2006 19:57

i wont be abble to come unfortunatley, as my gym bootcamp will have started. Sad
but have fun
nonsuch park doesnt have a sandpit. cheam park does, you go in via car park in tudor drive, oppoositish the tesco express near cheam village.
the 151 and the 213 stop opposite it.

fisil · 20/04/2006 20:08

I would love to come but I'm at work that day. However, after 26th May I will be at home with my two, and so I would love to come along with you next time. Can someone keep me posted?

jura, I have never heard Motspur Park mentioned beyond, well, Motspur Park really. Isn't it London's best kept secret? Maybe we know each other ... I'm in Raynes Park officially, but right on the edge and most people we know locally are in Motspur Park. Do you go to the Joseph Hood?

MagicGenie · 20/04/2006 21:48

Another PS - (sorry!) - since I've never been to Cafe Kinder before, can someone please tell me what road it's on?! Blush

magnolia1 · 20/04/2006 22:40

I might be able to make the 4th but might not make 9.30 coz of scool run, could probably get there by 10 Smile dd is 2, is that to old? Everyone has little ones, whats at the cafe for them??

zoeb023 · 21/04/2006 07:36

MagieGenie Its in the Hight street near Superdrug and the pet shop, Abbey is near it too.
If you drive there is a car park in Waitrose which is behind it.

Hope that helps!!

Magnolia1 I also have a son of 2 yrs I was hoping there would be someone he can play with!

There is a big house in the back of the cafe with a few bits inside, they have little chairs and tables to.

OP posts:
Hazellnut · 21/04/2006 08:51

wow - looks like they'll be a few of us - great !

Hopefully we'll all get on and then we can arrange another for sixtwosix and fisil to come along to !

tarantuless · 21/04/2006 14:02

Nonsuch Park is fab zoeb023. we go for walks and cycles there all the time. Dp quite often walks up along the London Road a bit and cut throguh 'the woods' (as dd calls it) and comes out in Cheam Park near the swings or cometimes even goes right up to the other end of Cheam. Its a lovely walk.

I also love Joesph Hood Park I think its the friendliest park Ive ever been in. I cycle across it every morning and all the people there are so friendly which is no mean feat at 7 in the morning. I so hope they have the paddling pool oopen this summer. It was fab last year.

fisil · 21/04/2006 19:33

tarantuless - yes they are planning to open the pool. We plan to spend the summer there. Do you know about the friends of jospeh hood? They've done brilliant work at getting it back to its former glory.

Hazellnut · 21/04/2006 19:37

Joseph Hood Park sounds great - will have to remember it for the summer. Is this where Cheeky Monkeys is ? I saw a friend today and we'd like to try it out - is it turn up anytime - any times best to avoid ??

fisil · 21/04/2006 19:56

It is turn up any time, but it closes early, so be careful. It might not last long, so go soon. It is a great park. There's another park called Joseph Hood in Raynes Park which is also really good!

Hazellnut · 21/04/2006 21:33

Thanks Fisil - will get there soon in that case ! The Joseph Hood park in raynes park is near my gym I think - David Lloyd ??
