Well, I can't think what to say except I'm very sorry and please everyone who was nervous about coming, please don't be, you will have a grand old time, guaranteed.

I have only been on one tiny meetup before and only met one Mnetter who will be there on Saturday (I think) and was looking forward to a jolly night out with all of you.

Well I'm new and very nervous but I know Mintyy was joking and I'm looking foward to meeting all the scummies

Bless you mintyy - I can see why you are so averse to misunderstandings bewitched as there are so many rows going on at the moment on mumsnet, but I wouldn't think mintyy would have meant anything other than affection in calling people scummies! I think its in the same context as me and pag both calling ourselves twats because we can't come, despite having good reasons.

I don't think you were being over sensitive bewitched, tone is really hard to decipher in text sometimes. I just didn't want mintyy to think she'd upset anyone when she hadn't.

I conclusion nobody was being unreasonable and we're all scummy but going to have a great time even though pag and getorf will be sorely missed .

So sorry for your loss Getorf, and to hear about the tummy bugs and your mum's tests Pag...its horrid when real life rears up and slaps you in the face like that. And (selfishly) I'm another one who's rather gutted not to get to meet either of you....another time, when things are better all round, I hope.
