Well someone had to start the new thread.

Hope no one minds but I've applied to what I think is the right fb group.. my initials are RW

FrankWippery · 06/10/2012 21:30

I've added you Crispy. Was just about to PM you to say the very same.

FrankWippery · 06/10/2012 21:35

Evening all,

Sorry I've been a bit absent the past couple of days. DS took me by surprise on Friday night and rocked up with 4 of his chums from school. Suddenly I had to feed these 15/16 year old creatures and they eat A FUCKING LOT. And they make noise. To 3am. Still, I sent DD3 in to jolly them along this morning at 9am.

I have had a quick look for places that fit our criteria and will ring them on Monday morning one the urch is at nursery school. I am hoping to be able to do a £20 job again, which I don't think is at all unreasonable for food and a couple of drinks/half bottle of wine per head ish.

Sticking around Southwark area again - is everyone happy with that, or would people like me to look in other areas too?

BigBroomstickBIWI · 06/10/2012 21:53

Mintyy - I just didn't want to presume that you wanted to join in your real name!

Mintyy · 06/10/2012 22:48

What do people generally do? I don't think I am savvy enough to create another fb account. Is it not a good idea to do it in your rl name?

BigBroomstickBIWI · 06/10/2012 22:50

Mine is in my own name, and most people do it in their real name. I was just being sensitive to you and not assuming anything!

Mintyy · 06/10/2012 22:51

Oh I'm going to throw caution to the wind! How do I join?

PrincessSymbian · 07/10/2012 11:16

But do we have to join the Facebook group, as I would love to come but try and avoid the dreaded fb nowadays!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 07/10/2012 11:19

Princess, not at all, the FB group is just so everyone can talk bollocks and post photos. You can get all the info you need on here or via PM.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 07/10/2012 11:25

Mintyy, for this past meet up I set up a separate FB identity (new email address and so on) but then found it so confusing and annoying that I ended up deleting that profile and joining as the real me. On the other hand some people never use their RL names at all. It's just whatever you're comfortable with!

Hotcoffeeisamemory · 07/10/2012 12:12

Mine fb account is in my own name.
Well actually my surname isn't. Blush

I am quite excited about this. Grin

BigBroomstickBIWI · 07/10/2012 14:47

Find the group - Mumsnet Christmas Shenanigans 2012 and ask to join - I'll admit you. (If you're doing it in your real name, send me a PM so I know who you are first!)

FrankWippery · 07/10/2012 15:22

So, is anyone going to answer my questions or am I free to do anything Wink

BigBroomstickBIWI · 07/10/2012 15:34

Sorry Frank! Yes, I was very happy with the venue - would it be worth going there again?

JugglingWithPossibilities · 07/10/2012 15:41

I liked the venue but think it would be worth finding somewhere all on one floor
for us oldies, ooh me knees and more squishy sofas next time please for those of us who like a nice sit down ! Grin

I like the curry night idea myself Smile

Hotcoffeeisamemory · 07/10/2012 17:04

What took place last time? Not shenanigans! But what did you do?
I love Indian food.
Actually, I just love food. Blush

BigBroomstickBIWI · 07/10/2012 17:25

YesIKnowIHaveGlitterOnMyFace · 07/10/2012 18:10

MrsRobertDuvallHasRosacea · 07/10/2012 18:22

Is there a definite date yet, as I can get to Southwark?
If anyone wants me to that is.Sad

FrankWippery · 07/10/2012 18:25

MrsDV, I think that is a genius idea, it would indeed be a sight to behold Grin.

MrsRobertD - Saturday 1st December, of course you are welcome, so long as your drinking and talking bollocks skills are up to scratch.

BIWI - I have a couple of others v. close by to that one that I am going to speak with tomorrow. From their websites they 'look' similar IYSWIM. I actually did have it in mind to call the venue again and see if we can talk curry and extensions, Maybe even have the whole gaff too.

Hotcoffeeisamemory · 07/10/2012 19:08

Sounds like I can do that BIWI!

I'm easy for whatever.

Slightly selfishly I'd like it arranged soon so I can book a hotel. Blush

FrankWippery · 07/10/2012 19:14

I should have some answers for you in the next couple of days Hotcoffee.

BigBroomstickBIWI · 07/10/2012 20:12

Sounds good, Frank!
