Well someone had to start the new thread.

It rained one weekend in February 1995. I know; I had an 8 week old baby and just about squeezed back into my best Droopy and Browns dress! Perhaps it was the only occasion. The bride sends us a family Christmas card every year with her, her DH and their lovely boys on it; just like the royal family . May just have outed self on this thread.

Right - off subject a bit but as DH is determined to return to what he regards as the land of dreams and as DS will be gone from us next year and we are downsizing in London and cranking up the machine to spend more time in Yorkshire (DD could move for 6th form - Leeds High School, St Peter's, Ampleforth, Harrogate Ladies College) - what would be better: Harrogate or somewhere like Adel or Alwoodly. We will not be doing a village miles from anywhere because it is likely we may be there when we are very elderly and my conditions are: railway station (walking distance), town centre (walking distance), decent hospital (10-15 minute drive), bit of culture. I don't know why but I'm just not terribly keen on York.

Harrogate is terribly naice!

I adored Harrogate when I was there a couple of years ago for a conference. Bunked off one of the sessions and had a little wander. Twas lovely.
