OK, the name of the original thread was C**P, but it was the end of the week and I was tired (but not tired and emotional).

Seriously though, anyone up for a Worcester, Droitwich, MAlvern, evesham etc etc meet up?

Betty, dummy is still on the scene atm, I'm ashamed to say. Will do it soon, I promise !!!!

DH is back tonight (and goes away again tomorrow, even more patient ) so I'll pin him down and check his diary for the 24th March.

Itsthawooluff · 01/03/2006 11:44

How did the "diary comparison" go? I must admit if Dh had been away for a while, comparing diaries might not be highest on my priority list..............Grin

Bump

LunarSea · 06/03/2006 11:34

Can I join you? Interloping a bit as I'm Warwickshire not Worcestershire, but Worcester's not too far away.

BettySpaghetti · 06/03/2006 11:37

Course you can Smile
Thread seems to have gone a bit quiet -think some strategic bumping might be needed to reel in a few more!

Itsthawooluff · 06/03/2006 12:49

I think I might have offended NDP .........OOps Blush. If I did, Sorry NDP, didn't mean to. Will keep pointless speculation about nudge nudge topics to myself in future, and stick to howling at the moon instead. Grin

Hellooooooooooooo. Sorry, I didn't come back to check this thread straight away Smile. hence the delay. DH has nothing in his diary atm for that evening but has asked me to hang on a week because there's some Board related stuff going on in March and he will need to be free .

BTW, please ignore my recommendation for the Rectifying House, a few people I know that have been in the last few months have said it has gone downhill. Swan (where we went last time) is always fab though, and really easily accessible for those using the motorway.

Ailsa · 08/03/2006 19:44

Have been searching for some alternatives

Furball · 08/03/2006 19:57

Personally I would prefer South Worcester or Central so Obviously The Swan, The Fruiterers Arms, The Glasshouse or Sauce Factory.

NomDePlume · 08/03/2006 20:05

Glass House is lovely.

Don't like The Pear Tree at Smite

Never been to the sauce factory

Royal Oak at Broadwas is great, but possibly a bit far out ?

Crown and Sandys is great too

Obv Swan is already a confirmed hit.

Ailsa · 08/03/2006 20:17

Sauce Factory is quite good. I last went with Hannah & Elizabeth's mum and some of her friends for a meal and to see a work colleague and his band play there. He plays there quite regularly, so if anyone wants a meal with music (easy listening Frank Sinatra type stuff) and still be able to talk...

Fruiterers - good
Pear Tree - never been
Crown & Sandys - never been
Royal Oak - never been, but owned by same people as swan.
Glasshouse - never been

BettySpaghetti · 09/03/2006 11:46

South or central Worcester better for me too.

What sort of food do they do at the Sauce Factory Ailsa? I've always thought it looks an interesting place but never been in ( menus not on their website though).

Ailsa · 10/03/2006 11:28

All sorts, from memory they have different menus, we ate from a different menu to the one that on offer that night.

barmybird · 10/03/2006 12:50

I'd like to come but I will struggle with the 24th. I'll keep an eye on this thread in case the date changes!

Swan is always good, I'd back that suggestion.

Furball · 10/03/2006 13:37

is the 25th any better?

BettySpaghetti · 10/03/2006 14:28

Either one suits me if we need to change it (DP will just have to fit in his social life around mine that weekend!)

Has Mistress Miggins seen this does anyone know?

Ailsa · 10/03/2006 21:11

Any night is good that week for me. DH is on his early shift, so I won't have to ask MIL to babysit Grin

LunarSea · 10/03/2006 22:22

I'd better not commit to the 23rd, as it's DH's birthday. Any other day except Tuesday is ok though.

Itsthawooluff · 11/03/2006 17:33

Bump for MM, but also to say I can't do MOnday, Tuesday or Thursday nights...sorry

OP posts:
barmybird · 11/03/2006 20:36

Sorry, I'm already out on the 25th! so it would mean husband babysitting 2 nights in a row! Don't worry I'll try and make the next meet. I will message Mistress Miggins though and let her know about the meet.

mistressmiggins · 12/03/2006 19:32

thanks for email BB Grin

hadnt seen this at all

unfortunately cant make that weekend at all as its my bday on sat 25th so already going outSad (obviously sad at missing meet up)

oh well have a good one & next time I will try to spot it in time to make the date

Gumdrop · 15/03/2006 13:10

[Pops head into thread] Cooooeeeee!

Anyone there? Have we decided a definite date yet?

[Looks round empty echoing hallway, and retreats to safety of work!]

Furball · 15/03/2006 16:43

Right so far

Bettyspaghetti
Nondeplume
Ailsa
Gumdrop
Furball

on the 24th March at The Sauce Factory or The Swan?

Ailsa · 15/03/2006 17:27

NDP's internet is down, but has texted me that she can do 24th.

I can do 24th.

Don't mind where, like both.

Furball · 15/03/2006 19:35

Personally The Swan is easier to get to for me and probably Gumdrop as well.
