I'm back at work from the 6th March for Mon-Wed again, after my extensive maternity leave. Could I ask politely if there is another City meet up planned????

Any time will do me? As far as I am concerned, my diary is completely free

I'll be there.

frogs · 14/03/2006 09:35

Dino, am going to have to pull out, as the judge in one of our current cases has just made an order that we have to do some additional work asap. And what the judge wants, he gets, unfortunately.

Sorry, everyone, was looking forward to a girly lunch. Sad

Sponge · 14/03/2006 10:35

dinosaur · 14/03/2006 11:44

Bump! Have rung the restaurant and scaled back the numbers somewhat, they were cool about it.

Look forward to seeing you there.

bundle · 14/03/2006 11:46

dinosaur · 14/03/2006 14:29

Nice to see everyone and meet the newbies!

Cristina7 · 14/03/2006 19:04

Nice meeting you all!

Bizarre that I still don't know the real names of 5 of you, only Spunky's and Novembergirl's.

Spunky - my email is cristina at cismigiu dot demon dot co dot uk. I'm already looking for places to show off in Wimbledon. I'm free on Thursdays and Fridays, before 3.30. (And anuone else for that matter if you fancy a day in Wimbledon.)

Cristina7 · 14/03/2006 19:05

Oh, I forgot to mention that I made an amazing 35 minutes from Wimbledon to Monument today, both on the way there and back. It would probably be different at rush hour, though.

spunky34 · 14/03/2006 19:52

Yes, it was nice meeting everyone. I'm looking forward to the next meet up.

Sounds good Cristina. I will email so we can plan a date. :)

oops, one too many.

Novembergirl · 14/03/2006 20:02

Just wanted to say thank you to Marina for organising the lunch today (so sorry you could not be there)and Dino for taking over at the last minute.

I also enjoyed meet-up with everyone again and meeting Spunky and Christina for the first time. If anyone would like to get together for a coffee and a natter before the next meet-up, do send me a message via MN...

whiffy · 15/03/2006 09:31

Thanks for the meet. It was good to meet other city mums, especially as I spend most of my day surrounded by the kind of strutting young turks who still equate sleepless nights with a good time.....and whose drug of choice isn't Zantac.

I like the idea of the occasional coffee/natter, especially as some people could not make the date due to other stuff. We should maybe think about some kind of regular time/place to meet for a coffee; those who are free simply pop in for half-hour, those who aren't just come along the next week or whatever... there is for example a starbucks on corner of London Wall / Old Broad St which has huge basement full of sofa's (just an example - not sure if somewhere nr west end would be better)... would anyone else be up for this?

Novembergirl · 15/03/2006 12:57

Whiffy, an excellent idea, I would definitely be interested.

I also enjoy meeting other City mums as I so rarely have an opportunity to talk about little (as opposed to fully grown) people who throw their toys out of their prams!

HandbagAddiction · 16/03/2006 10:00

Huge apologies from me about not making it to lunch on Tuesday. I have been laid up for 3 days with the most horrific cold/cough and have only just made it back into work today. To make matters worse....our home PC is completely knackered so I had no way of getting on-line to let you all know what was happening.

Hopefully no-one was out of pocket as I don't remember having had to pay a deposit, but do let me know if I do owe anyone anything...

Definitely up for the next one though - by which time I will be positively huge and it'll probably be the last one I can get to before I go on maternity leave.....

beachyhead · 16/03/2006 20:45

Great to see you all - its always a pleasure - makes the coming back to work a little easier to bear......
