I'm back at work from the 6th March for Mon-Wed again, after my extensive maternity leave. Could I ask politely if there is another City meet up planned????

Any time will do me? As far as I am concerned, my diary is completely free

Me too, please, have been away. 14th is fine for me, don't know the location but I'm sure I'll find it. Will look forward to it. Smile

But where is Bink(ie)? Will email her to see if she's around.

Marina · 27/02/2006 15:19

Could you Frogs - I don't think she has seen this yet! Thanks. Venue is China Delight, under Minster Court, Mincing Lane, EC4. Between Eastcheap and Fenchurch St. Hope you can get there.

All I ask is that if something comes up and you cannot make it, please either post here, or CAT me if you have coughed your £5, so that the booking more or less resembles the numbers present on the day.

And then we need to plan a Kayleigh has it off lunch once she is cast-free and mobile Grin

Cristina7 · 01/03/2006 10:11

Galloo - it will be my first time too. I'm looking forward to meeting all others.

Marina · 01/03/2006 10:23

Really Cristina? That hadn't occurred to me. Grin
You will be in good newbie company galloo because it's also whiffy's first time, and NovemberGirl can confirm we are not all cannibal hairy-armed lorry drivers or anything like that.

Cristina7 · 01/03/2006 10:55

Yep, first time with you City MN-ers. I've met a few local Wimbledon MN-ers. One of them lives so close to me and she's so lovely, yet I wouldn't have met her otherwise.

Will the table be booked as MN or how will I know you all?

Marina · 01/03/2006 10:56

Going to book it under the name of Marina, Cristina. So who can we contact in SW19 to confirm that you are not a hairy trucker then Wink!

Cristina7 · 01/03/2006 11:00

Neither too hairy nor a trucker. Although if I don't use the tweezers for a while I might fit the first category.

Cristina7 · 01/03/2006 11:03

Reminds me of the first time I went to a MN meet-up. I looked around and couldn't find the right people. There was a guy there and I went up to him to ask him if he's my froggy (locket's DH). He wasn't Blush Even worse, he was a parent from DS's school, there with a group of other mums from DS's school (which I only started to recognise afterwards). I found my group shortly after.

Marina · 01/03/2006 11:11

ROFL at you calling an acquaintance Froggy Cristina. Thank goodness it wasn't BigGayDad you were seeking. Sadly, large groups of women chatting animatedly at lunchtime in City eateries is still a comparatively rare sight. You may even hear us before you see us...

Cristina7 · 01/03/2006 11:37

Ha, ha, now that would be funny.

beachyhead · 01/03/2006 12:21

Marina, do I need to send you £5. If you how, shall I CAT you for details.....I'm on my last Wednesday at home,,,,,WEEP WEEP.

goldenoldie · 01/03/2006 12:21

How many are brave enough to bring sprogs?

CountessDracula · 01/03/2006 12:25

what about hoxtonchick?

Cristina7 · 01/03/2006 12:51

DD is at nursery that day and DS at school, so I'll come on my own.
