June 2005 mummies - weekend meet-up for northerners and anyone else!

As discussed, some of us are apparently denying nature and all that is right and working full time (Noting I shall be one of these people as of next week).

Therefore, a weekend meet has been suggested for these negligent mummies, plus non-negligents like EYM who find it easier to travel at weekends.

Dates: next two weekends are out for me, after that all clear til end March.

Location: central Leeds for public transportation or maybe somewhere a bit easier to reach by car? There are a couple of pubs near here that have Wacky Warehouses in, hence geared for kids.

katzg · 21/02/2006 19:48

just the 3 of us!

when where?

tribpot · 21/02/2006 19:57

I think MrsW might be persuaded along as well, I shall advise.

Are we driving or training to our venue? I can do either.

OP posts:
katzg · 23/02/2006 10:39

i will be on the train

tribpot · 23/02/2006 10:51

Okay, then a central venue makes sense - maybe York or Sheffield? Although as ever Leeds is the obvious place given the various directions people will be coming from, just don't like to feel we always end up in Leeds cos it suits me and MrsW

do we have a date? or list of dates we can add our availability too?

York, Leeds, whatever

just wondering about Hull on the train? we could meet up and go to the Deep

tribpot · 28/02/2006 20:47

Okay, weekend wise:

11-12 and 18-19 March are fine for me

1-2 April

22-23 April

29-30 April

Take your pick!

York would be nice - 50mins on train for me so actually quicker than leeds or manchester!

tribpot · 05/03/2006 18:21

Let's go for York in that case. Will email KVG to see if she is around, and CAT Jonah as well.

Hi guys,

I'm a ex-northerner (desperate to get back up there!) My DS2 was born in June 2005 too, can I join your thread? Please?

tribpot · 05/03/2006 18:40

o betty's would be lovely

tribpot · 06/03/2006 19:06

Lovely - Bettys, York, Junies, a fine combination.

1-2 April? KVG, what is likely to be best with your mortgage/moving situation? (Moving with a baby is absolutely horrific, btw).

OP posts:
katzg · 06/03/2006 19:22

i can't make the 1st dd1 has a party to go to and i've offered to help.

the 2nd would be okay but is betty's open?

tribpot · 06/03/2006 19:29

Betty's is definitely open on a Sunday: \link{http://www.bettys.co.uk/cafe.asp?PrevPage=Story&PrevID=%7B13B9AD4B%2D7C60%2D48F0%2DBEA1%2D0D500573CCF4%7D&FromPage=Story&FromID=%7B5BA4CC67%2D5BC3%2D4AF5%2DBAB1%2D1019558CA846%7D&storyid=%7B7D5FBD93%2D2888%2D4E96%2DBFAD%2D63B69C297C71%7D\hope this link works}.

But one of the later weekends is fine in April, just depends what KVG's housemoving schedule is like.
