June 2005 mummies - weekend meet-up for northerners and anyone else!

As discussed, some of us are apparently denying nature and all that is right and working full time (Noting I shall be one of these people as of next week).

Therefore, a weekend meet has been suggested for these negligent mummies, plus non-negligents like EYM who find it easier to travel at weekends.

Dates: next two weekends are out for me, after that all clear til end March.

Location: central Leeds for public transportation or maybe somewhere a bit easier to reach by car? There are a couple of pubs near here that have Wacky Warehouses in, hence geared for kids.

Bad news about the house sale, KVG, or are you okay about it?

Should we book a table as we will be many and require every high chair Bettys have?

I've a feeling you can't book, actually - just have to queue endlessly drooling at all the lovely cakes and coffee and stuff. This would suggest that an early lunchtime gathering might be best, or perhaps a post-lunchtime arrival like 2:30-3:00 pm? If you give them a call and explain the horror that awaits them, they may be able to advise.

either suits me,

katzg · 19/03/2006 08:58

who's coming then?

what time?

Shall we just meet at Betty's?

Cool - will instruct DH that if he wants to go see if Grandmother then he can or i will get the train on my own

tribpot · 19/03/2006 14:47

Sounds good. I may bring dh along if Bettys isn't too far to walk from the station, although seems particularly harsh to make him come along to a sarnie and cake shop when he can't eat anything there ...

Do they really KVG (and btw I owe you an email). Excellent, I shall pass that news on. Dh would like to come as he is a coffee aficionado (and I know nothing about it) so he wants to come and buy some fresh stuff apart from anything else. We'll either train or park'n'ride depending on which transports us closer to Bettys.
