Anyone want to meet up at Moors Valley one day in half term? Any day is ok with me at the moment.

Anyone seen the weather forecast?

SPARKLER1 · 13/02/2006 20:29

tuesdayweather

Looks like showers. Maybe not a good idea for Moors Valley - not much to do if it's wet.

SPARKLER1 · 13/02/2006 20:32

another

Surfermum · 13/02/2006 20:48

Ok, shall we cancel then and try again in the Whitsun holidays maybe?

SPARKLER1 · 13/02/2006 20:56

Ok - was looking forward to seeing you all and getting the kids together. We've been out all day today though so I could do with a day at home tomorrow. Place is a right state. Going to hit dds bedrooms with lots of binliners I think.

Jodee · 13/02/2006 20:57

Surfermum, I'm having a CRAFT moment - Whitsun is later than Easter isn't it? I'd love to do a MN Moors valley day out but have to work half-terms but have Easter off, IYSWIM.

Dds and I only woke up an hour ago. Ahhhh I love school hols.
Looking outside the weather actually looks quite nice. Bloody weathermen.
Ah well - we are going to stick to our plan of cleaning up dds bedrooms. Might take them out somewhere later this afternoon.

Flamesparrow · 14/02/2006 09:55

I have a horrible cold, so wouldn't have been up to it anyway (combined with back ache and tummy ache that I suspect are more swimming related than labour related )... Sorry the rest of you aren't going, but at least I don't feel I'm missing out .

When is Whitsun (no idea about most christian festivals )?

Surfermum · 14/02/2006 17:22

Hmmm. So what happened to the rain? It would have been lovely up there today. Never mind, I met up with some friends who I haven't seen for a while and this afternoon we went to Farmer Palmers.

I forgot we have the Easter hols next. Shall we try again then?

Enid · 14/02/2006 17:23

where IS farmer palmers?

is it good? I might take the dds there on thurs am

Surfermum · 14/02/2006 20:15

Farmer Palmer's is fab, we have a season ticket. It's aimed at up to 8 year olds. There's loads of things for them to play on, plenty of cover if it rains, including an indoor soft play. Every half hour or so they do animal feeding/petting. I bumped into a lady from playgroup up there this afternoon, she'd been there 5 hours with her 4 year old twins and they wouldn't leave!! Oh and Farmer Palmer is a bit of a dish.

Surfermum · 14/02/2006 20:16

farmer palmers . It's just outside Wareham.

SPARKLER1 · 14/02/2006 20:18

...oi! Surfer gets your eyes off - he's mine

SPARKLER1 · 14/02/2006 20:21

It is a fantastic day out. Did you get the season pass today? How much are they?

Surfermum · 14/02/2006 22:47

No, I rang an renewed it over the phone just after Christmas. I think it was £24 for me. DD is still free as she's under 3.

.... and he's mine, Sparkler. He winked at me today.

I think I have a bit of a crush on Farmer Palmer. I am thinking of going back tomorrow with dd and dsd, who has just arrived.

Flamesparrow · 16/02/2006 08:45

Oooh, Farmer Palmers sounds like fun... maybe I'll convince my mum we need a trip out there today. Still huge. A day of niggly pains every 15 mins yesterday, and back to sod all today, so in a foul mood ... maybe a day in fresh air would help!

SPARKLER1 · 16/02/2006 12:36

I went to Farmer Palmers yesterday with dds and bought a season ticket. We had a lovely time. Had about 3 hours out there with dry weather then it absolutely chucked it down. Didn't matter though as most of it is undercover anyway.
Shame I didn't see your post before Surfer - we could have come with you today.
