Relocated from the Faversham thread, we're trying to organise something on a term-time tuesday in Maidstone in a few week's time.
Potentially:
Cadbury
Turquoise
Freckle
Rickman
and possibly Fio2.

Anyone else fancy it? There seem to be quite a lot of Maidstone mners now.

7th? or 21st in term time?

meggmoo · 24/01/2006 19:23

what time did you guys plan on?

Aero · 24/01/2006 19:28

Yes - love to - count me in.

Turquoise · 24/01/2006 19:30

Brilliant!
Meggmoo - over lunchtime I guess?
Ican't do the 7th but the 21st would be fine.

Me too please!

Rickman can confirm I am not a hairy handed truck driver

I can do most days but am looking for a job atm so don't plan anything round me.

Would be lovely to meet up as social life has come to complete halt since moving here.

yes please! found out over weekend that rickman only lives 3 miles from me. wot exactly do you do on meet ups then? do you bring your not school age kids, id find it hard to find a sitter for my ds

meggmoo · 24/01/2006 20:04

Sounds great.

I was going to ask if it was with kids or not. Thing (DS) is mine is not a sitter. he's a screamer and a runner so it depends on where you guys are meeting.

7777777 · 24/01/2006 20:09

how old is he meggamoo, mines a sitter, thinker unlike his older brother whos still a screamer, runner at 11

meggmoo · 24/01/2006 20:37

Sorry for the delay all the sevens. He is 20 months and almost turned my hair grey, eleven you say. Oh s*&t!

7777777 · 24/01/2006 20:40

yes, you could have years of it if youve got a mad one

meggmoo · 24/01/2006 20:50

Yikes, what's bizarre is when he's not doing that he is clinging to me, like a little monkey -there is no in between!

So where might this happen? Where do you all normally go?

Turquoise · 24/01/2006 20:53

We normally go to a child friendly pub, but this is the first time in Maidstone, so where would you recommend? Is there a nice soft play place for those with escape artists?

No idea Turq.
I may just chance it and see what kind of mood he's in, or starve him for a few hours so he'll devour his food?

Freckle · 24/01/2006 21:08

Oh dear, 21st is one of the Tuesdays I've agreed to work and I'm booked the following one too. Could do 7th or any Tuesday thereafter.

7777777 · 24/01/2006 21:11

Freckle · 24/01/2006 21:28

Sorry, that should be 7th March or any Tuesday thereafter.

The Castle something-or-other out at Leybourne Lakes is quite good as it has a fairly decent sized indoor kiddies play area as well as an outside one. The one at East Farleigh is a lot smaller, I seem to recall.

Callmemadam · 24/01/2006 21:58

Have now found this thread! Is there anywhere at Mote Park? If not, how about a Mote park picnic when its warmer?

Is there meet ups in the maidstone area, I'm actually Ashford but can't find any there so I would be interested?

SleepyJess · 06/02/2006 13:35

I'd like to do a meet up of you local lasses... feeling brave enough now.. Is it happening or not?

emmawill · 06/02/2006 15:42

I'ld like to in a few weeks as I've only given birth 4 days so better wait a couple of weeks!!!

Turquoise · 06/02/2006 17:29

Shall we aim to do something on March 7th then?

Is the Castle whotsit at Leybourne Lakes easy to get to for those on public transport?

OP posts:
Turquoise · 06/02/2006 17:30

And congrats Emmawill
