ItalianJob · 30/03/2006 08:41

sorry to hear you've had such a rotten time julezboo. Hope they can sort you out properly once you have the next set of blood tests.

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 09:41

Can anyone think of anything interesting to do next week? I'm stuck inside and it sucks and I don't like it! And the sky's gone blue to spite me!

ItalianJob · 30/03/2006 09:42

something cheap will be very interesting. if weather carries on like this I fancy a trip to the beach with picnic on the beach.

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 09:44

Yes! Beach! Anything. Lol.... was meant to be going to a group today..herrrummmph... couldn't stay awake at all yesterday poor wee mites got very little attention!

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 10:05

biglips · 30/03/2006 10:10

Rather you than me FAS... beach!! BBRRRRRRrrrrr

What about Seacombe aquarium or \link{http://www.visitliverpool.com/site/product-p54661\have a look on here}

Nemo1977 · 30/03/2006 13:58

BLs I love calderstones park its where I often take the kids for a walk and to feed the ducks etc. Another good park is croxteth park..they have a small farm bit although not sure if it is open all the time etc. Or could look at venturing further afield...will have a nose about at whats what.
Actually any thoughts on the albert dock/maratime museum???

Nemo1977 · 30/03/2006 14:16

\link{http://www.acornfarm.co.uk/\fancy here one day too}

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 14:51

The Albert Dock is fun, we could do the round trip on the ferry and then go to the maritime and have lunch there or something :)

Croxteth Farm I think is always open... we usually just go to the playground and the cafe for a baked potato tbh Blush

Not entirely sure how I'd get to the Acorn one, but it sounds nearish here so maybe the kirkby bus would go, if so that sounds brill :)

gets excited!

BROWNY · 30/03/2006 15:28

FAS - I've just looked at Acorn Venture Farm's website. You can get number 123 bus which runs hourly from Kirkby Town Centre to Moss End Way, the return jurney also has an hourly service. I wouldn't have a clue how I could get there thoughSad.

Don't fancy a trip to the beach at all until middle of July!!Wink, although photo's of everyone looking very windswept would be nice to see!GrinWink.

Julezboo, I don't think I've spoken to you before, but I'm so sorry that you've had such a sad year. I really hope that you get the right diagnosis and treatment quickly!Smile

jaamy · 30/03/2006 15:58

Hello everyone!
Hi julz - so sorry to hear about your rotten year :(. I have a friend who is going through a similar time, though she as yet hasn't got any children. It must be such a comfort to have matthew and at least now that they have identified what could be the problem they can try to put it right - "they" obviously being the medical profession, although I'm sure you know your body far better than they claim to. In the meantime enjoy all the things you can do while not being pregnant - bungy jumping and the like! Sorry to hear about your uncle too - is it treatable? Will be thinking about you on Friday.
Well I'm pooped!!! 2 days in work has wrecked me. Not looking forward to 3 days next week. Would got through the whole depressing story but I'm sure none of you have the time or inclination to listen to me moaning!!!!
Ahhh yes, roll on summer! Some friends are visiting at the weekend with children similar ages to J and A (2.5 and 10 months). Was thinking of taking them to either the blue planet or seacombe aquarium as the weather is supposed to be rubbish. Never been to either - which would you recommend??
Hope you're feeling better FAS.
Browny and biglips - hope you managed to get out and about - weather not too bad today, no rain...yet! Cash a bit tight here to as payroll have mucked up my wages and we're £500 down until they can sort it - probably not for 4 weeks. Great timing as have to pay nursery fees for 2 now and easter and all coming up!
Would love to do a meet up, as long as it's a thurs/fri pm...even the beach!!!
Hope everyone ok x

jaamy · 30/03/2006 16:01

Sorry Julz - just reread my post - makes it sound like it's ok that you've had mcs because you've got matthew! Wasn't meant to sound like that. I bet he gets extra big hugs, though.

biglips · 30/03/2006 17:12

no jaamy ive been stuck in all week cos im skint!! Sad so poss be start working next week

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 17:13

I've never heard of the 123 though lol I'll have to ask DH

biglips · 30/03/2006 17:14

oh forgot jaamy - we are to have a natter, moan, laugh, advice....... so fire away and say it and you'll feel better

my update is that i had to kick DP out of the house this afternoon to get some poly filler for a unfinished job to do in the house that had not been sorted for ssssoooo long! (he been off for 2 days)

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 17:16

Blue Planet is absolutely fab for an aquarium it's really interesting, Seacombe is a dark room with some fish in boxes Grin

but the ferry is fun, and it's about 5.65 or something for the ferry and the aquarium, whereas it's about a tenner each for over three's at the blue planet, and the cafe is extortionate (I recommend going to Pizza Hut afterwards just down the road) but the price adds up!

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 17:17

No one wants to hear my updates they're all too yucky atm !! I can't leave the house because of Aunt Flo I'll put it that way lol

seee jaamy now you have to tell because mine was gross and boring at the same time.

biglips · 30/03/2006 17:32

FAS - plus its £2.00 for half an hour at the soft play centre at Seacombe aquarium (it used to be free but now they are charging - RIP OFF!!!)

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 17:33

I don't let T go in unattended ones Blush he's hyper and hurts himself in 5 seconds or stands by the entrance looking mournful!!

biglips · 30/03/2006 17:34

mine would be like a charging bull as she loves it esp on the big ones Blush!!!

biglips · 30/03/2006 17:35

and going down the slide head first !!! eek!

fastasleep · 30/03/2006 18:27

Yes Steven sort of did that! Came to no harm though :)
