workingmumnhs · 02/03/2006 18:37

It was snowing this morning but has eased of in the afternoon. I have one Daughter and a step daughter. DD is three and DSD is 11. DD loved the snow and rushed her breakfast and was dressed and playing out in it by 8 in the morning. A house record I'm sure. Rock Ferry is quite near the front. I am a nurse and trained in the Royal Liverpool. You could see the block of flats in the local park from the Stroke Unit.

joec · 02/03/2006 23:19

Mazzystar · 03/03/2006 09:25

i've got one DS, who is 17 mo. I've only met biglips and her DD from this thread, as DS always seems to be poorly when there is a gathering.

he is still poorly today again GE i think, been sick and just wants to sleep and be cuddled poor baby. anyone got nay advice on what to do? he keeps asking for toast, can i give him some do you think?

biglips · 03/03/2006 09:34

mazzy - sounds like he got a low immune system as he is always poorly with anything.. but poss mostly pick it up from nursery

im not going to the signing class as taking baba to day nursery this morning @ 10am

joec · 03/03/2006 09:35

hi mazzystar.
when any of mine have had ge i have always starved them for 24 hours. doctor told me to do this when i took one of them (cant remember which one)...lol...i know it is hard to do but really does get the bug out of their systems, just make sure he has plenty to drink .
hope he feels better soon

biglips · 03/03/2006 09:36

as last time DD was poorly was xmas day as she had one cold after the other between oct to dec.. nad thats it since then

joec · 03/03/2006 09:36

biglips good luck with nursery today . hope dd has a brilliant time, i am sure she will.... not exactly shy is she !!!!! lol!!!!!
sure all the children will be getting plenty of hugs from her

Mazzystar · 03/03/2006 09:42

thanks for the advice, joec.

i don't think he's poorly more than anyone else really, its just his sense of timing is brilliant. ie whenever we've got plans!

but you're right they really do pick stuff up at nursery - my doc said apparently its good for them, less likely to get serious diseases later. talk about looking on the bright side!

biglips, i'm sure L will love nursery. O does, in fact, even poorly this morning he got his coat when his daddy did and cried when he realised he wasn't going! L is so sociable, she'll be leader of the gang by the end of the day. Are you going to leave her for a bit?

workingmumnhs · 03/03/2006 09:44

Hi, Good Morning. It was frosty over her this morning but it is clear now. I haven't braved it outside yet. Do you all meet up often. It would be strange putting faces to nicknames, and learning real names as well

joec · 03/03/2006 09:49

hi workingmumnhs,
think everyone has met up a few times.
me, browny and biglips meet up every couple of weeks and takekids to local playgroup.
biglips is the organiser of meet ups so i am sure there will be a new one organised soon

joec · 03/03/2006 09:52

wokingmumnks between me and browny we have got 8 children ..lol
i know thats too many.
4 each...
both got 2 girls and 2 boys.
mine are
11(at end of march)
7, 3 and 20 months.
cant remember brownys ages , let he rtell u herself lol

workingmumnhs · 03/03/2006 10:01

there was a time I wanted 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls but i sat down had a cuppa tea and let the feeling pass. Anyone with more than two need a medal of honour. Really you are VERY brave

joec · 03/03/2006 10:05

never intended to have 4....
it is hard work, youngest 2 especially, being so close in age.
dd2 is in nursery now so it is nice to have a couple of hours every afternoon with just ds2.

workingmumnhs · 03/03/2006 10:07

dd has started part time nursery in the afternoons. It is great. Can't wait till she goes full time.

BROWNY · 03/03/2006 10:32

Morning!! Hiya again, WMN - just to let you know my lots ages, dd1 10, dd2 8.5, ds1 6.5 and ds2 21 months!! Like Joec, don't know where they've all sprung from - well I do, but I kept wanting more!!GrinWink. You should have seen us at the museum last week, it was like herding sheep! Was scared we'd lose one!Smile.

Joec, took kids to park yesterday after school, then a blizzard struck us!!ShockGrin, kids were made up, especially J, he couldn't stop eating the snow!

workingmumnhs · 03/03/2006 11:34

dd didn't try eating it but she was making snow castles with her buccket and spade. there wasn't ehough snow so they were snow splodges
