I have not looked at meet ups for ages now and just saw the one where you all went for Mexican in Brighton.
Really want to meet some normal people with kids in Brighton or Hove. Had 2 good friends with babies but they moved away. Had my second boy 4 months ago and need to meet some people who like a glass of wine (oh who am i kidding - a bottle) and who don't profess to being mother of the year.
Let me know if you up for meeting with the kids in the day or for a night out.

There is a really nice looking place above the cricketers pub on ship street, called the Greene Room - civillised, quite cool looking, snacky nibbly little dishes.

noddyholder · 30/12/2005 16:26

MABS · 02/01/2006 09:16

damn honey, I can't make earlier coz have got kids. what time does college finish? we'll still be out I'm sure!

Spidermama · 02/01/2006 19:58

I s'pose it's not the same with kids eh? Do you ever meet with kids? I guess adult conversation would be restricted and I know Custy's views on this, expecially with hers being a bit older.

But yes RnB, we will probably still be around. I'd love to cacth up with you.

desperatehousewife · 02/01/2006 20:19

I'm up for meeting up with kids some time soon. I have him every day from 11.30am.

Spidermama · 02/01/2006 20:57

Suits me. If only the soft play areas were nicer so we could sit and chat over coffee while the kids did the Lord of the Flies bit in the 'enclosure'.

Actually, CJ's isn't too bad. Do you know CJ's near Burgess Hill?

MABS · 02/01/2006 21:24

come up and meet me at the racquet club in Falmer. I can sign you in as my guests so no costs involved. There's a nice soft play area and they serve a decent latte! Mon or Thurs are best for me

Spidermama · 03/01/2006 01:11

MABS I'm going there tomorrow/today with my daughter tomorrow because I won two guest passes at the school raffle.

I'll look out for you. It's great you can sign people in though and I didn't realise they have a soft play area.

You probably won't see this in time but ... what can I do there with a 7 year old to give us both a special day?
