sharklet is beautiful and looks like a 1940s film star. she was deffo there...i hope she's ok!

Flossam · 27/11/2005 17:21

Yes Sharklet was there, she said something about her DD(?) being unwell with an ear infection so she had to leave early, she left not that long after we finished eating IIRC. And she was beautiful.

dropinthe · 27/11/2005 17:34

Serendipity had the most lovely silver, sparkly Dorothy mules you have seen and she clicked her heels really well!

UNICORN-she is a hardcore nutter!!
(But I loved her!)

Mars-even nicer than I expected as was Sherlock and all the others I actually managed to say more than 2 words to.

I was very enamoured by many, many lovely ladies last night.

Did feel the com monist one there, though! Think I was a bit out of my depth but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Custy was deffo the pisstist!

Hub-you're a really nice chap, aren't you?

I have now already forgotton so many names although can remember nearly everyone's faces! Am so crap with names-Thank God we didn't get into swapping real names!

Beety is a beauty as was stitch amd many more to many to mention! Tigermoth-was great to meet you at last!

Spidermama-will email you with in-depth details when I get a chance-still missed you,honey!

Can't bitch-we were all just too darn nice!

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 17:44

Nonsense. I'm a bad ass, well 'ard mofo with mysogynistic tendencies, LOL. Nice to meet you to.

There was half a table I didn't get to say hi to, so sorry if you saw me say hello to everyone but the far end of table 2. You didn't smell, honest.

Can't believe nobody dragged me to the dancefloor. I mean, it's not like I had a lot of competition, LOL.

Oh, and yes, it was lovely to meet you to sophable. We must talk psych one day. Good luck with the completion of your course.

crunchie · 27/11/2005 18:12

Seriously guys are you saying Sharklet was there? That is so strange, I'm so sorry Bunglie, she could at least have made her excuses to you, or looked for me and explained. You are now a bit of of pocket. This morning I honestly thought she hadn't come.

Please Sharklet, what happened?

aloha · 27/11/2005 18:14

Twiglett - your dd has pneumonia? Oh no! Poor little mite!

Kaz33 · 27/11/2005 18:19

Didn't come, but knew the restaurant that you had booked and wasn't sure whether to tell you that the food was not very impressive. But by the sounds of it the dancing more than made up for it!!

aloha · 27/11/2005 18:19

I am absolutely gutted that I didn't come. I'd had a cut and colour, put on my heels and sparkly skirt and spent £40 on makeup.

Then dh came home an hour late....

(as it happens dd is sprouting two teeth and even with me there didn't go to sleep until 11pm)

Next year?? Please??

bossykate · 27/11/2005 18:21

what a shame, aloha

hunkermunker · 27/11/2005 18:21

Aloha - would love to have met you. Next year, for sure!

i'm thinking february in putney or something what say you?

dropinthe · 27/11/2005 18:50

Most surreal moment, for me, was a big circle of mnetters dancing, including myself, at the beginning-much blushing and awkwardness going on and then "Its raining Men" came on and we were a big bunch of delectable divas strutting our funky gibbons as if we'd known each other forever!

Big LOL'S with festive bells on!

And the best skirt of the night award just had to go Gomez' amazing, irredescent green number that just followed her fluently and was sinply fab!

Roobietherednosedreindeer · 27/11/2005 19:10

"It's Raining Men"....purlease!! There's a Peter Kay sketch there somewhere!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 27/11/2005 19:12

Envy

It is a terrible thing.................

Stockinghanger · 27/11/2005 19:40

Sharklet was sat next to me during our meal She had been to the hotel before going to the restaurant and they said they knew nothing about a booking She was a bit confused I think....

"It's raining men" LOL!! I would say 1 male MNer, a male techie and a few waiters was more of a dizzle!!

My thighs still hurt like hell BTW!!

Stockinghanger · 27/11/2005 20:32

Hmmmm, did I just commit thread murder?...

aloha · 27/11/2005 21:14

I'm up for a London meetup. God, would love to get out of the house. THis would have been my first solo night out in a YEAR! Bloody hell.
