Shropshire/Welsh meet up - come on people, you know you want to...

as discussed in this thread, we shire/border dwellers have been pretty lax about meeting up, so I propose meeting in Shrewsbury on the 19th August. we can have a picnic (if the forecast is good) or go somewhere for coffee or just wander around wearing judgeypants.

if anyone has any other ideas about where and when, please feel free to contribute! the last meet went well (and ds is still smitten with mrsmeow's dd) I think we should do it more often!

Woo hoo! I had a panic earlier about the flower show being next weekend. I can get into town whenever, shall we meet at the train station? Ds is shockingly excited!

Train station is good for me, or I could find you there? We're signing the papers at 10am, so I'll already be in town. I don't mind though, I'm happy wherever.

It was the combination of two days on my feet at the flower show, and not shutting up for a minute. My brain just stopped working.

Sorry, but I think I'm going to have to give the meet-up a miss this time. As it's our last day here, my parents want to take us out for lunch - and we'll probably have to spend the rest of the day packing (have bought far too much, as usual). We also have a 3.5 hour train journey to the airport on Saturday, so I'm not sure I can inflict another 4 hours on the DC the day before.

I really hope I manage to make it another time, and hope everyone has a lovely time on Friday.

I'm going to have to bail too, I'm so sorry its short notice and will text seeks and koppa directly, but I got a bfp yesterday and have spent a lot of time throwing up and panicking. Anyway I'm not coping too well thanks to shite uterus and prev miscarriages and dh has convinced me that I need to see my doc and start organising a scan. I hope you all understand, and we can do it again x

Lissie, that's fab news. I haven't got to my phone yet, but I am thinking very sticky thoughts for you. It's a little ray of sunshine on sad day, for my friend (related to the missing guy). Get thee to a doctor and get a scan sorted. Will you be able to change consultant now you've moved? Really hope this one's the one. I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks from next week, but it would be nice to see you when I'm back if you're up to it.
