as discussed in this thread, we shire/border dwellers have been pretty lax about meeting up, so I propose meeting in Shrewsbury on the 19th August. we can have a picnic (if the forecast is good) or go somewhere for coffee or just wander around wearing judgeypants.

if anyone has any other ideas about where and when, please feel free to contribute! the last meet went well (and ds is still smitten with mrsmeow's dd) I think we should do it more often!

Ooh, cake and biscuits. And Bears Grin

All being well we should be signing for our new house that morning. I can travel, if we can get into the letting agent early enough to be out in time to meet

OracleInaCoracle · 06/07/2011 21:33

Seeksnewname, you can call me when you finish. Ooooh exciting! Where are you moving to?

LinzerTorte · 06/07/2011 21:45

Yes, it's quite straightforward for us to get to Shrewsbury MrsMeow - it's two hours on the train but the DC love train journeys (and are particularly excited by all the sheep, which are a novelty to them Grin).

seeksnewname What does a new house matter when you have a MN meet-up to go to? Wink

MrsMeow · 07/07/2011 10:01

seeksnewname - ah don't worry about the house, there's plenty more out there Grin just kidding, I hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Linzer - that's good then :) my two like the train as well, I might even take them on the train instead of driving.

seeksnewnamewithgsoh · 07/07/2011 21:45

Weirdly, it's over the road-ish from where we've just moved from. I'll pm you my number lissie.

Ooh, a very good day for seeks - a day of MN and a house of our own. Good times.

Linzer, my 1yo is currently obsessed with sheep. One of her two words is Baaa Hmm In her defence, we're living in the country with my inlaws at the moment, and the sheep field is at the end of the garden. But still (!)

Have a lovely holiday!

We're still signing the new tenancy on the 19th, so I'll still be there. I'm looking forward to this. Just crossing my fingers for nice weather.

OracleInaCoracle · 30/07/2011 09:19

I hope we do. It can't come soon enough now. My patience is wearing thin, lovely as our parents are. No such thing as Just Wales For A Week Smile I love the thought of Wales for a week.

OracleInaCoracle · 10/08/2011 08:04

We're still on :) have got it on my calendar and everyfink!

seeksnewnamewithgsoh · 10/08/2011 20:00

We're still on too! I don't know what time I have to work around with moving, but I'll be there no matter what. Some of my other baby friends will be in the Quarry that day too, so I'll get them to come and say hi.

Also, shamelessly plug alert I'm working at the Flower Show this weekend. If any of you happen to be there, I'll be on the Neal's Yard Remedies stand, come and say hi. I'm the non-blonde in a bright yellow monstrosity tshirt Grin

Name change needed after this now that I've outed myself...

MrsMeow · 10/08/2011 20:14

Ohhh I love NYR!

OracleInaCoracle · 10/08/2011 23:14

Woo hoo! I had a panic earlier about the flower show being next weekend. I can get into town whenever, shall we meet at the train station? Ds is shockingly excited!
