KBlathers, St Pancras is next to Euston?!

Yes Nickel, looks like the same one. If I go from Ebbsfleet its an extra £8 parking though, compared to free at my local station (which also is a fast train, but starts from there not from further Kent)

FellatioNelson · 06/04/2011 19:40

Night bus would be alright if you can sit very close to the driver (preferably on his lap behind his little screen) otherwise they are all full of nutters.

But TFMD is more used to dem Lahndan ways than me so perhaps she's braver.

I've just had a horrible mental image of us being turned away from a nightclub for being too old and embarrassing, having missed the last train. Sad

bigTillyMint · 06/04/2011 19:46

I don't often get the night bus now I am an aged parent, but if I do, it is generally full of drunk young things Smile

Shodan · 06/04/2011 20:08

I haven't been on a night bus for ... twenty-odd years.

I've booked into the Farringdon fleapit Travelodge this time because I'm so bloody sensible and old.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 06/04/2011 20:42

I would rather get the tube to blackhorse road and get a cab. The thought of fetching up in Walthy Central after midnight chills even dees gansta bones innit.

NotShortImFunSized · 06/04/2011 21:27

Right well after a bottle glass of wine I have decided in my infinite wisdom, that since none of you know me I can turn up, create hell and make a giant tit of myself then disappear off into anonymity once again under a new name

Grin
FellatioNelson · 06/04/2011 21:34

Well I think that is the general order of the day for all of us to be honest. Grin

NotShortImFunSized · 06/04/2011 21:57

I've tried to read the whole thread but can't be assed so what's the deal with staying over? Anyone want a roomy Wink

Valpollicella · 06/04/2011 22:02

There are a few people staying over NotShort...some links above from Methods direct you to some very local hotels...

May be worth reposting in the next thread when it get's opened as this is nearing capacity Grin

notinmypocket · 07/04/2011 09:48

As I'm too old for the night bus, I'll be taking a cab back to SW London.
Feel free to jump in! But not for free obviously, I'm not a complete mug Grin

Do night clubs really turn away ladies of a certain age?
That is a terrifying thought. I'm very successfully fooling myself into believing I'm still a hot lukewarm young thing.

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/04/2011 09:59

MaM you are a star - thank you very much.

Iam chortling at fellatio - a bunch of women being turned away from nightclubs for being too drunk old, missing the last train home and having to spend the rest of the evening nursing cups of tea in an all night cafe, or sat on the benches at Paddington station.

NorksAdrift · 07/04/2011 10:00

Don't laugh GOML. That may yet come true.

nickelbabyhatcher · 07/04/2011 12:27

I cannot risk missing the last train home.

I made it last time only just.

Are you coming then?
you have a babbysitter?
yeay!!!! Grin

you will be fine - I don't like travelling when I've been drinking, because it makes me nervous. (like everyone will be able to tell i've been drinking and take advantage of it)

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/04/2011 12:44

Reality!

yes you have got to come. PurlEEEESE!

Don't worry, I have never been to a meet up either, it will be fine Grin
