I can't get to London, and I live too far away to go to Leeds, so can we do one of our own?

I'm in Bath, but have car, will travel (as long as it's not on the motorway!!)

I promise she isn't a big hairy male lorry driver if that's what any of you are worried about

littlerach · 29/09/2005 16:31

And Mistressmary could come too, I hope.

Lonelymum · 29/09/2005 16:57

girlysquare · 30/09/2005 13:44

Not used to these meet ups yet as dd is only 4 months and have only been on mumsnet about a year. Do we do evening without dd/s or daytime with or what? Easier for me to come with dd during the day, but she is very easy at the moment. I also have a phobia about driving along strange roads in the dark, but if its definitely an evening do i might be able to arrange something. Would be nice to meet other mumsnetters, and go shopping!

Lonelymum · 02/10/2005 16:11

I can't do daytime easily as I have school and playgroup pick ups. Also, weekday evenings I can't guarantee as dh is away so often but I usually only get a week's notice of his trips. I was rather assuming we would do a Friday or Saturday evening, but I am open to during the day at the weekends if that is what people want. Any weekend: I don't have a social life!

moozoboozo · 02/10/2005 16:13

I think a nice evening out. I really bloody need one!!!!!!!! Weekends are best for me too, as I am often working on week nights.

Little B, where do you live?

devilishboozo · 02/10/2005 16:25

We could do with knowing when it's going to be, as we'll need to book, otherwise it will be fish and chips in Sydney Gardens!!!!

Lonelymum · 02/10/2005 16:36

Sounds good to me!! Fish n chips are my favourite food and the informality of the event would suit me better too!

devilishboozo · 02/10/2005 16:38

In fact, that might not be a bad idea! We could have an informal chip supper followed by getting squiffy

Lonelymum · 02/10/2005 16:40

Right, I should think it will come down to the 26th November , 3rd December or 10th December. Pick a date that suits.

Lonelymum · 02/10/2005 16:40

Oh I will have to opt out of the squiffy bit.

devilishboozo · 02/10/2005 16:43

Ok, getting squiffy isn't compulsory.

Those dates are all good for me, except the 26th Nov, as I am going to a bikers Xmas do!!

Distel · 02/10/2005 17:15

I will go along with anyone else. I will have to book the night off work anyway, so can make any saturday night.

devilishboozo · 02/10/2005 17:27

So it's me, Distel and LM. Anyone else????????

Lonelymum · 03/10/2005 12:35

How about if I say 3rd december? If we don't have a date, people can't know whether they can come or not.

devilishboozo · 03/10/2005 14:54

3rd December sounds v good to me.

Steppy1 · 03/10/2005 18:39

...if you fancy a bit of a party night you could always come to my Funky mamas Christmas party - I'd sort you out a "mumsnet" table.....though it may be a little too far East for you all (junc 16 of M4) between Wooton Basset and Lyneham...if you do want more info check out www.funkymamas.co.uk...we're setting up in Bath sometime in 2006 !
