I can't get to London, and I live too far away to go to Leeds, so can we do one of our own?

I'm in Bath, but have car, will travel (as long as it's not on the motorway!!)

I'll just go on my own then

pooff! motorways are easy

moozoboozo · 27/09/2005 21:06

Yep, I'm a poof. I drove all the way up to Birmingham on the mway a few weeks ago and shit myself.

It'd be better if my car wasn't a heap of junk.

Why do you have an aversion to meet ups beety? What's wrong with the Sputh West? Is it because you arer all inbred farmers?

OP posts:
moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 20:36

Am I missing something?

Oh yeah, friends.

Lonelymum · 28/09/2005 20:50

Moozoboozo, I will join you if dh doesn't let me down!

moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 20:51

Ok, so it's a table for 2. Where shall we go? The world's our lobster!

Well, not The Moon and Sixpence if that restaurant is still open in Lansdown road. My parents took me there 20 years ago and I had a lovely meal which I promptly threw up when I got home (the food was too rich for my student's stomach - more used to beans on toast!)

Ooh yeah, Moon and Sixpence is bloody lovely!!! We used to go there after work (when I was a single girl about town and I had the money to hob nob on a regular basis)

Ok Moon and Sixpence (Broad st Bath) it is then.
Anyone else? Any date good for you LM?

OP posts:
moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 20:58

Oh sorry, just re read your post. NOT the Moon and Sixpence.

DURRRRRR

Ok, start again.

Beety, there MUST be some South Westy Mums on here. Unfortunately, If I went up to London for the evening, I think I would be a single parent on my return

Lonelymum · 28/09/2005 21:00

Your post made me laugh Moozoboozo! I probably would love the Moon and Sixpence, actually, but the money might be an issue. Don't know Bath so well now.

moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 21:04

Ok, for a good budget meal. I recommend the Ocean Pearl Chinese Buffet in the Podium. It's £13 and you can eat as much as you like.

There are plenty of decent and cheap places to go to . (Moon and Sixpence would probably use up my whol year's wages)

Lonelymum · 28/09/2005 21:05

It would be worth it though wouldn't it? (If I could keep it down!) I am impressed with the image of you going there after work in your single days.

moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 21:07

I know. Now I am fat frumpy mum, who cant even afford a cuppa at a greasy spoon

Those were the days, sigh.....

Is Broad Street the one that goes up the hill to the lights and continues up the hill to Lansdown? I thought that was Lansdown road! Hmmm looks as good as I remember it!

Lonelymum · 28/09/2005 21:14

Set menu is only £20. Actually, that's not bad....

littlerach · 28/09/2005 21:26

I might be there!!

If you'll have me.

And I once met Beetroot on a meet up, and it was in the south west.
She certainly didn't look like a farmer type!!!

moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 21:45

okey dokey

OP posts:
moozoboozo · 29/09/2005 13:05

C'mon, there must be more of us out there.

OP posts:
auntymonkey · 29/09/2005 13:52

I'll join you - if you'll have me. New to Bath two weeks ago and know no mums here yet! No idea where Moon and Sixpence is but sure I'll find it.

Distel · 29/09/2005 13:57

I'll come, am in Bath also.
