me again, have you had an email from Carmenare, Essbee, as she's not posted since at least October unless she's changed her name.

ladymuck · 25/11/2005 15:39

Delgirl, essbee,

I have a cab coming back to Purley which shouldn't be a million miles out of your way? Delgirl, what time are you leaving from East Croydon?

DelGirl · 25/11/2005 15:58

6pm ladymuck. No, it's not too far, I'm in Carshalton at the mo (at my sister's). Have they given you a fixed price?

Errmmm, I have a slight problem! I have had a cold over the last couple of days and it seems now I have lost my voice So I will be at the meet BUT may have to bring a chalk board with me to talk to any of you!! It'll be a quiter night for it though

ladymuck · 25/11/2005 16:25

I have a quote (which they tend to stick to), but they are always open to slight detours.
Essbee, I have a spare bed even, but you're less than 10 minutes away so I suspect that we could get you home.

oh no SH! Hope it comes back and you feel better soon. I have a better plan than the chalk though - bring your lap top and type it in - maybe if you had wireless network you could keep the rest of MN updated with the evening events.... 08.30 pm Flossam falls over for the 9th time of the evening. Everyone is currently looking the over way and pretending not to notice, gradually moving away , whistling.

stitch · 25/11/2005 17:51

ladymuck, can i join in too?

DelGirl · 25/11/2005 17:53

stitch, did you just call my mobile? I deleted it by accident before I could take the details.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 25/11/2005 17:53

Flosspot

Have you managed a swap ?? I thought you were working tonight ???

Flossam · 25/11/2005 17:55

No LGJ, eating supper and MN got to leave in half an hour. Worked last night too, and only managed 4 hrs sleep today so I'm going to go slightly nuts by tomorrow night. On the upside, time flies when you're on nights.

stitch, I'm assuming that is for the cab rather than for the bed? If so and you're in the area then by all means - they should manage 4 quite easily. If you can let me know your approx location then I can warn the company so they can plan their route.

Essbee, the bed will be free but I warn you that my children are early risers.

I don't know who else is going via East Croydon, but I'll try and lurk expectantly around the tickets barriers at 6pm?

Posey · 25/11/2005 19:53

Anyone else got the lurgy? Feel like I'm swallowing broken glass, having my head kicked in and keep getting hot flushes then the shivers. Having a good hour now (all those drugs must be kicking in) but am dosing myself up, going to bed as soon as dd is back from Brownies and will make it tomorrow come hell or high water.

Carmenere · 25/11/2005 20:39

Hi Essbee, delgirl and ladymuck. I am here and am still going to the meet up. what time do you guys want to meet up, where and how will we recognise each other? (this is really funny isn't it?)

Great I will be wearing a fake astrakhan coat with a satin and fur beige scarf and I have long light brown hair. and I'm fat, well not huge but I feel really fat.

spidermama · 25/11/2005 21:27

OK I give in. I can't come.
I swear to God it's not through want of trying.

First I was hospitalised with pnuemonia. But that's OK.
Then DH announced he's away working this weekend even though I booked this months ago .
So my mum agreed to babysit. She then pulled out two days ago with illness.
So a friend offered to babysit.
In the past four days all my children, one by one, have gone down with a tummy bug. The baby is still being sick. I just can't leave them.
Also I'm working my way through a piles of puked on laundry.

I'm so so sorry to pull out at the last minute. I bought make-up. I grew my nails. It's not fair. I'm gutted.

I'm not going near this computer tomorrow night as I'd probably cry.

Have fun.

MarsLady · 25/11/2005 21:45

that's too bad spidermama. Wishing them all better.. and you too

spidermama · 25/11/2005 21:59

Thanks Marslady.
