I would prefer to leave her at home, tbh. We are used to taking her everywhere with us here but I know that it will be very different in Scotland. My friend and I are hoping to do some shopping, which will not be possible with a dog I guess.

Will ask my mum if her neighbours would mind letting her out for a wee midday. Perhaps they would even take her for the day.

Yes. Will look into dog sitters and walkers. Cupar and st Andrews a bit out of the way. We are in West Dundee.

Just spoke to Mum and the neighbours are on holiday. Argh.

Will sort something out though. Have found a couple of dog sitting services in Dundee so I can always get them to come in and walk her.

has someone booked Pearces??

midnightexpress · 10/08/2010 20:44

Oh bother.a.tion. I'm going to be in Edinburgh on Saturday, but have lunch party with cousins and wee ones a-go-go. Would have been lovely to meet MmeL (and everyone else of course). Though obviously the fact that the Fabulous Daphne is not going to be there is somewhat disappointing.

doughnutty · 10/08/2010 20:53

I would love to come and meet some of you lovely crazy ladies but I'm off on my hols on Saturday.

Might be able to make a September meet though.

Hope you all have a great time.

Besom · 10/08/2010 21:01

I had offered to book but was waiting to see if there was a last minute rush.

Will book it tomorrow.

I'll definitely be there - but may be a couple of minutes late - I've decided (totally randomly) to go and see some American High School theatre company down at Pilrig studios at 10.15 - supposed to last 1 1/2hrs so should be out and back up in time....

Macdog · 11/08/2010 11:16

Can you book a place for Mr Macdog as well Smile

Much obliged!

Besom · 11/08/2010 20:01

Right it is booked for 12 on Saturday under the name of Lindt for seven people. Looking forward to it!

Toccata - High School Musical at 10 in the morning. Oh you are brave.

toccatanfudge · 11/08/2010 20:48

no - not High school musical pmsl - an American High school theatre group doing a performance of "After Juliet"

We ended up sat on the bus with some of them the other day and they were so sweet, and absolutely besotted with my DS2 (even asked if they could take a photo of him lol).

It's only £5 their show - so figured as my brother has agreed to have the DS's all morning and over lunch I'll go and watch them before coming for lunch Grin

MmeLindt · 11/08/2010 20:52

I may be a couple of minutes late, as I have an appointment at 11am at Bravissimo, but it is not far away so might make it on time.

Sorry that I am not bringing Daphne but she is going to a farm (making the DC insanely jealous).

When I was a child, a dog "going to a farm" was a euphemism for being put to sleep, as I realised many years later.

ME
that is a shame that you cannot make it. Would have been lovely to see you. I am meeting Threadie for coffee in Durham on the way up the road, it is a Wankery start to our holiday. May meet Habbibu and DD later in the week.

Doughnutty
That is a pity, hope you have a lovely holiday.

OP posts:
midnightexpress · 11/08/2010 21:02

Aww. I'd even have considered a trip out east to meet up with you and Habbs, but DS1 starts school on Monday (wahhhhhhhhhhh), half days only, so that slices my day into utterly unmanageable, useless slivers of time for the next four weeks. You should have seen the exchange of emails I had with a lady this afternoon, trying to pin them down to an appointment slot when I don't have to be somewhere, or on my way somewhere, or on my way back from somewhere.

MmeLindt · 11/08/2010 21:07

Ooooh, exciting though. First day at school.

Never mind, we will work it out next time.

OP posts:
midnightexpress · 11/08/2010 21:43

Yep. Have a lovely holiday anyway.

nevergoogle · 11/08/2010 22:28

i can't make it i'm afraid. it's a bit too far, especially when i'm in glasgow on friday. sorry.
