As promised here I am starting the new thread about the next meet up.

It was great to meet up today, Claireandrich, Mocha, Ronniebaby and me plus our offspring, and I think we can all heartily recommend Markeaton Park as a day out.

So if we are to get together again before the end of the School hols and to try to fit in with everyones free time (and especially if I can remember that I DO actually work part time!!!) then here goes with my free dates for August:

Mon 4th
Tues 5th
Mon 11th
Tues 12th
Mon 18th
Tues 19th

Then we run into the Bank holiday, but I can do the Tuesday of that week. I can also do Friday afternoons at the moment but not before 1.30 pm.

How about you lot - and anyone else in the area??

Is this a mumsnet record for repeat posts???

Claireandrich · 06/08/2003 14:46

How many posts?!

Glad to hear it is still on for next week. I am just checking in again, getting used to internet cafe culture. This is a great one in Sheffield - so fast. Will check again on Monday too. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Ronniebaby · 07/08/2003 23:11

Sorry ladies, I clicked post message and nothing happened, so I clicked it a few more times as you can see, bloody technology.

WedgiesMum · 08/08/2003 21:48

Sorry -will not make it tomorrow as we have a friend who will be arriving around that time. I was hoping she would either arrive early enough for us all to join you or late enough that DD and I could come and then come back here to see her and her DDs.

WedgiesMum · 11/08/2003 22:57

Shame you won't be there sueW - maybe next time??

See you tomorrow ladies (picnics at the ready!!!)

Sorry you couldn't make it Sue.

Had a fab time again. Mollie was fast asleep within minutes of the being back in the car, and has been telling her daddy all about her day since we got home. All I could here from the bathroom earlier (dh does bath time) was 'choo choo' and 'splash'! She loved the paddling pool but I wasn't so keen on being wet through - oh well, next time I will bring myself a spare set of shorts.

Ronniebaby - your DH is such a sweetie. He was adorable with Mollie with all those cuddles

Wedgiesmum - good to see you again, and your lovely kiddies, yet again being so great. Your friend's children were great too, and I don't think I have ever known a 6mo baby so quiet for such a long time.

Hope everyone else had a good time. See you all soon.

WedgiesMum · 12/08/2003 22:18

Aaah well Cnr that would be the baby drugs

Great to see you all again. DD tried to fall asleep, but as we were going to MacDonalds over the road she had about 4 seconds until I forced her awake. DS was too excited to sleep and talked COMPLETELY non stop until bedtime.

Mollie was a cute as ever, and DS is very enamoured of her. The picking her up thing is a big sign of affection from him. Loved her reaction to the train Hope you have a good holiday and we must do lunch when you're back.

Ronniebaby - I'll let you know when I get the photo of your DS developed, he looked so cool on that donkey!! He is such a well behaved boy, he's a real credit to you. My DS was impressed that he still had some Hulk lolly left over to have at suppertime, even if it did 'make his mouth ring'!! He also enjoyed his game of stick ball with your DS and is looking forward to another game!!

I'll post about some more dates soon, and see if we can get more Mumsnetters next time too!!

Take care, and see you soon

Hiya gals,

Yeah had a fab time, DS was telling DH all about the train, and the fact he went in the pool, he has become frightened of water/swimming, so it was great to see him running about in the water, he also told DH about the Donkey ride and the crazy golf and do you know all the miserable git (DH) could say to me was @don't you think he's been spoilt enough over the past week' (just cause it was his b/day last week and he was 3), ooooh I do despair sometimes.

WM - DS had a crazy golf set for his b.day and he wanted to play it when we got home, and as we were playing he said, now mommy you be (your ds's name), and no cheating, He kept going on about your DS all evening, asking are we going to see him soon, what do you say except for yes, but not this week. Also I can't believe your DS was fighting with me on the grass, he was just so trusting considering we'd only met once before, it was really unusual, but cool too, suppose it's cause I have a boy and I fight with him, they sense these things. Also I was surprised at my DS going off with you when we got there, he normally wouldn't, means he trusts you.

CNR - DS really likes your DD, he also kept going on about her, and saying he gave her lots of loves and kisses, and he told DH, that they sat together on the train (aaawwhh), thankfully he's very good with younger children (especially girls), he loves them to pieces, have a really good hols.

As stated before I'm always (mostly) free tues & thurs, but DS is pre-schooling on tue&thur, from sept, 12.45 - 3.15 (??)

Just let me have some dates.

Good to see everyone again.

Ronniebaby · 20/08/2003 13:51

So when we doing the next meet then

Ronniebaby · 27/08/2003 22:49

JanHR · 27/08/2003 23:15
