Next Meet up for Derby (Markeaton Park)

As promised here I am starting the new thread about the next meet up.

It was great to meet up today, Claireandrich, Mocha, Ronniebaby and me plus our offspring, and I think we can all heartily recommend Markeaton Park as a day out.

So if we are to get together again before the end of the School hols and to try to fit in with everyones free time (and especially if I can remember that I DO actually work part time!!!) then here goes with my free dates for August:

Mon 4th
Tues 5th
Mon 11th
Tues 12th
Mon 18th
Tues 19th

Then we run into the Bank holiday, but I can do the Tuesday of that week. I can also do Friday afternoons at the moment but not before 1.30 pm.

How about you lot - and anyone else in the area??

Mocha! Many happy returns - hope its been a good one, and for DD too!

SueW glad to hear you'll be there and yes, Ronniebaby it was 12.30. Should we say by the token booth again so that we can see each other in the carpark again!!!! .

Thanks for all the positive support ladies, feeling slightly less hormonal, although shattered because DD has been pretty bad with the pox. I REALLY hope none of you get it. SORRY if you do, honestly though that she wasn't going to get it...........

12:30 by the ticket booth is good. Hopefully the timing will be as good as last time.

DD shows no sign of the pox yet! How is your DD now, any better - poor lamb?

Move should be tomorrow!!! The car park problem has been sorted and builders have handed over and completed with the management company. The buildings insurance certificate was being faxed to our solicitor this evening so we should be completing between 11 and 2 tomorrow lunchtime, then moving tomorrow evening - hectic I know!

Trying not to get too excited just in case there is another disaster but it is hard not too. We are all packed up now. DD keeps trying to unpack faster than I can pack though I think I'll take her toys over first and get them in her room to play with whilst the rest of the move is done. My sister can entertain her in there then. Fingers crossed ..........

CnR YIPEE! for you. The very best of british for tomorrow, hope it all goes well. When you're in the city we'll have to meet up for lunch on one of my work days! Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

DD has had the pox EVERYWHERE! Even in her fairy, and has been frightened to wee it's been so painful. Also loads in her hair, ears, nose , mouth, between toes.....poor little thing .

Thanks for the Brithday wishes everyone. I have had a lovely day. Richard was off today so he came swimming with Mum, Lauren and me this morning then went into Burton for some lunch. We ent for a Chinese meal this evening which was very good. It was a buffet this evening so we asre now absolutely stuffed.
My brother and his wife and Richards parents are coming over on Saturday to celebrate Laurens Birthday. We will get a cake tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy yourselves on the 12th, I will be on holiday with Richard and Lauren and probably the inlaws.

Ticket booth, we meet in the car park last time, WM - do you mean where we paid for the cars, by the water etc, I have been to sleep since last time and can't even remember.

CNR, really hope you've moved now, and Good luck in your new home , WM, hope dd is better, it's sad when they get spots everywhere and they don't understand . Well I'll be there looking lost (no change there then) come rescue me

Mocha, good to see you today, and it was really good meeting the folks too . Say hi to them, DS was going on about your dad in the car and at home, also hope DD has a lovely birthday on Friday, cheers for DS's pressie. See you soon, if not before enjoy your hols, and we'll get together after.

I meant by the token booth thingy near the boat pond. It's where we were supposed to meet last time but found each other in the car park instead - mind you if our timing is as good again then we'll meet by the car park ticket machine again!!

My best friend is supposed to be visiting me that week with her two children, so if she's here then I'll bring her along too!

Hi all. I am writing in an internet cafe today as I am not on-line yet at home. We did move and we are now well and truely IN!!! Really enjoying it but it feels a bit like being on holiday with having all the shops so close by. Mollie has settled really well too and has been sleeping in her very own bedroom for the first time. We have done that room completely now and it is so girly!!!

We are still on for next Tuesday. I will be checking here Tuesday morning, and hopefully next Monday too to make sure everything is still okay. Failing that, Wedgiesmum - do you still have my mobile number? If there are any major changes could you let me know on that if I don't manage to get on-line? Cheers.

I hope Dd is feeling better now - poor lamb! It must be so horrid for her.

Mocha - hope DD's birthday party went well and you all had a lovely time. I remember on Mollie's she ended up so tired but loved every minute!

Wedgiesmum - we must meet up in town now I am on the doorstep, a great idea although I still have Mollie with me most times unles I am at work.

DD's "party" went well. My brother and his wife brought their dog, and she was very well behaved.
WE put out Laurens paddling pool and she seemed to enjoy it.
CnR, glad the move went well

Happy to report we are now virtually pox free, scabs falling off nicely, without too much help from little fingers - except for the ones DD brings me in the morning to help me wake up

Glad the move went well CnR - yes I still have your mobile number and will be happy to report any changes!!! We'll have to talk about meeting up in town next week, and I'm sure your DD would love to join in as a girlie what lunches - she should after all be getting used to that now as you have moved to your new city abode

Sounds like you had a lovely party Mocha - hope you have good hols next week and that the weather holds for you.
