Hi there! I'm mum to a 7 month old - we live in Isleworth and are always up for meeting new people and getting out and about for walks, coffees etc. We often walk into Richmond along the river or head to Osterley or Syon Park. Anybody fancy meeting up one day? It's always great to meet new people

I was thinking of going to snakes and ladders just to see what is was about. is there much for a 9 month old to do?

4kids · 16/10/2005 19:58

cr1-Not much 2 do for younger kids got a big area 4 over 5s small area for babies & toddlers but you can get food & drink in there grab a table & have a gossip & more & less leave the kids 2 it (well the older ones)its o.k if the weathers bad & its the only local place for kids except the parks.

cr1 · 16/10/2005 20:45

sounds as if it is more geared for older kids but I'll give it a go one day next week

Are you planning to go?

bunyanvillas · 17/10/2005 09:05

cr1 - whereabouts do you live? I'm in Mill Plat Ave. I had a look at Snakes and Ladders the other week but thought it was a wee bit much for my 9 month old at the moment (she's barely crawling - a late developer!!) There is an NCT baby group in the St John's Road Community Centre every Tues from 10am to 11.30 for under 1s which is very nice. I go and will be going tomorrow so do you - and anyone else of course!- fancy that? Otherwise, there is a fun singing group at the Watermans Arts Centre in Brentford at 1030 each Weds which is good, plus there's a new thing in South Street (Isleworth) on a Thurs morning called Amanda's Action Kids which I haven't tried yet. I'm up for a get-together - it can be quite hard to meet other mums, I've found!

cr1 · 17/10/2005 09:44

I live just off wood lane nr BR station. Tomorrow morn i have an assesment for my 9 month old so cannot make that but wed morn at the watermans sounds good i would be interested in meeting up

My nine month old has no inclination to crawl either just wants to stand up and walk so some babies dont crawl in fact i'm glad because its easier to keep an eye on him at the moment

bunyanvillas · 17/10/2005 10:10

OK, well it starts at 10.30 and is £4.50 to get in. I'm planning to go, so you can always text me if you want to hook up! The number is 07930 562 516.
