Hi there! I'm mum to a 7 month old - we live in Isleworth and are always up for meeting new people and getting out and about for walks, coffees etc. We often walk into Richmond along the river or head to Osterley or Syon Park. Anybody fancy meeting up one day? It's always great to meet new people

Hi There,
I"m from Isleworth and would love to make some friends in the area. I have two daughters who are two and six.

bunyanvillas · 05/09/2005 13:22

Anyone fancy coffee or a walk one day next week, then?

That sounds like a great idea!My oldest daughter starts school again on Wednesday so let me know when and where.

SpikeMomma · 05/09/2005 20:48

I've got a feeling i may have met two of you by chance in the barmy arms, twickenham a few weeks ago! I'm not sure though! I'd be up for meeting new people in the area. Let me know when and where you are next meeting, it would be really nice to come along.

bunyanvillas · 05/09/2005 21:10

Hello! Yes, I and two of my NCT friends ran into some peeps at the Barmy Arms a couple of weeks ago - so I guess it might have been you! Is anyone around next Thursday?

SpikeMomma · 06/09/2005 19:48

Yep. I think i am. When and where shall we meet? Twickenham or Richmond are better for me. Would that work with every one else?

bunyanvillas · 07/09/2005 08:55

Either are fine for me. How about Richmond Green? It's all about routines these days, so either 10-ish or 3.30pm-ish would work for me!

Hi - so sorry couldn't respond sooner. My internet access died. I can't make tomorrow - apologise for short notice. Have to wait in for a courier which was meant to come on Tuesday - not impressed!

bunyanvillas · 15/09/2005 17:03

No worries. If you did fancy meeting up another time then just post a message!

I'm in Whitton and have a 9 month old - let me know if you meet up as I'm always up for meeting new people! Twickenham & Richmond best for me but Syon Park also doable

4kids · 16/09/2005 11:03

Georginars- where in whitton are you ?

jane313 · 17/09/2005 13:00

sorry to gate crash your thread. I just wondered what it was like to live in isleworth/twickenham/whitton? I live in ealing but don't kwow that area very well except for snakes and ladders! I'm thinking mainly about primary & secondary schools (non-religious) and transport/shops general feel?

4kids · 17/09/2005 20:47

jane313 - Are you thinking of moving out this way?

jane313 · 18/09/2005 06:58

maybe. we are selling our house at the moment (well trying to, have had 41 viewings!! and one offer that fell through) but we probably won't be able to afford to stay in the area so we are looking at areas closer by but a little cheaper. I know a lot about schools etc in ealing but not much about hounslow and richmond

4kids · 19/09/2005 10:10

Jane313 - Richmond & Twickenham are nice areas bit pricey though (i think) school wise i don't know about but i did go to secondary school in Twickenham (Orleans Park) was a very good school but this was 15 years ago. Isleworth is nice depends on which part i'm originally from Isleworth. Old isleworth is nice & well Hounslow (where i live) very multiculteral more so than Richmond & Twickenham .Hounslow is a pretty big area it consists of Hounslow West, central & east. I've lived at Central & now East school wise is pretty good (as far as i know) lots of Primary & secondary schools to choose frm but like any where your bound to come across some bad schools. Theres also loads of shops i live 10 mins from the high street i don't ever really need to venture out of Hounslow but i do just for the change of scenery.

4kids · 19/09/2005 10:21

Jane - forgot to mention Hounslow also houses a bus garage also it has 3 tube stations one in West,Central & East also a BR station. Twickenham also has a bus garage & BR station don't know about tube but Richmond has a tube station.Isleworth has a BR station & bus access to Hounslow,Richmond,Twickenham ect.

jane313 · 19/09/2005 18:07

thanks for that. I will have to take a proper look around. Someone was telling me about a one o'clock club in Isleworth, Redlees Park I think. we have someone on their 3rd viewing of our house tonight, but am not getting my hope up as I've done that before!

4kids · 19/09/2005 19:31

Jane good luck on the house & the 1 oclock club is in Redlees park the park is behind Isleworth swimming pool there is a 1 oclock club in Marble Hill park in Twickenham too but they are shut for the winter now, well the Twickenham one is.

georginars · 20/09/2005 10:42

hiya. I'm near Whitton station - right on the picturesque A316 in fact! Sorry Jane, don't know much about schools as DD is only 9 months

4kids · 20/09/2005 11:59

Georginars - Near Powder Mill Lane?

georginars · 23/09/2005 13:57

sorry, not getting on the internet much at the mo!
4kids, about 15mins from PowderMill Lane - am on the A316 at the bottom of Jubilee Avenue, which is right by Whitton BR.
bunyanvillas, are you still about?

lisamaddix · 26/09/2005 11:32

Hi
I have recently given up work to take care of my 15month old daughter - I am quite new to the area and would like to meet up with other mums / nannies. Can any one recommend Mother & Toddler Groups in the Twickenham / Isleworth Area? Monday - Thursday pref AM?

bunyanvillas · 29/09/2005 08:52

Hi, all - not been around for a while! Are people up for coffee one morning? If weather ok Marble Hill is great for a meet-up and there is a little cafe to the right of the house (if you are facing it). Would be good to meet some new peeps!
