Who wants to join me? I’ve started and stopped keto for 2 months now with 0 weight loss! If anyone wants to join please let’s do together starting from today.

I’m an emotional eater. I get very sad and eat, I feel happy I eat, basically I just eat. Drinking is my issue too so after drinking I will binge and destroy any progress.

I’m planning to cut out all alcohol for 2 weeks and all fruits for 2 weeks. I know in keto you can eat these but I seem to not be able to stop.

I will also try to meditate and not let little issues get me upset. For next few weeks I will focus on myself and not be bothered too much of others. I basically worry and have anxiety about everything and everyone all the time.

Starting weight: 10 stones
Goal weight: 9 stones

Me! I did keto in June for 4 weeks and lost a stone, and then decided to eat low calorie for a month and lost nothing, so back on it today.

SW: 11st 10 (eeek!!!)
GW: 9st 10

I am much heavier than all of you but I've been following a keto diet for about a year and have lost 2 1/2 st but have another 4 to go.

Lost 7lbs this week but know will be water weight. Still keeps the morale up* Grin

@pleasestoprainingplease good work though, 7lb is fab!

I've broken through the next stone barrier and was 15.13 this morning which has pleased me. Hopefully now the heatwave has broken I'll see a few more lbs come off quickly, my body seems to hold onto everything when it's really hot and then relax when it cools down.

If anyone wants someone interesting to watch on YouTube I recommend Tom DeLauer, he's very knowledgeable about keto, fasting and has lost a ton of weight himself.

I was 16 when I started too but began to go backwards again. Im finding this diet really hard. I just live carbs. dh is managing to stay under 20g of carb a day but im hanging around 30.

@GooodMythicalMorning Which carbs are you missing? If it’s pasta try the Aldi black bean spaghetti, I honestly can’t take the difference to normal spaghetti and it makes meal times so easy.

There’s also a bread here: seriouslylowcarb.com/collections/seriously-low-carb-food/products/the-low-carb-loaf that is amazing! It is a little pricey, but it’s only 1g of carb a slice and just tastes like bread/toasts really well.

Not everyone wants to use carb replacements but I think they can really help with a low carb diet as you’re getting used to it. And nothing is better than a bacon sarnie some times!!

Is this way of eating and losing weight possible for a vegetarian diet? I lost 2 stone calorie counting last year (half of what I wanted to lose) but have regained it. I'm disgusted with myself.

A week in an struggling. I am bored of greek yogurt, mixed veg, meat, dark chocolate etc. I think I might get that low carb bread.

@poppym12 yes it is. I've got a couple of vegetarian keto cookbooks and there are loads of resources online, Dietdoctor is really good as you can programme in what you're looking for and it generates recipes to suit you. It's a bit more challenging than standard meat and salad but there are some great ideas.

Sorry you're struggling @felineflutter have you the time to get creative? I made breakfast muffins the other day that have gone down well, bit like a crustless quiche in a muffin case but were a bit different for breakfast.

Unbelievably I have gone back up to my starting weight today after 2 glasses of wine yesterday. I also felt ravenous most of the day...back to bootcamp I think. 😀

yes pasta especially. Mashed potato is another. Im struggling with breakfasts that seem breakfasty rather than another dinner type meal iyswim.

Mashed celariac or cauliflower make a decent sub for mashed potatoes. I prefer celariac as it has a v similar mouthfeel.

For breakfast I make up chia puddings with almond milk, vanilla and double cream. Definitely not to everyone’s taste! Or full fat Greek yogurt with a few raspberries and sugar free maple syrup is acceptable.

Once you’re in ketosis you should find your hunger subsides quite dramatically, so I generally skip breakfast and just have lunch and dinner.

6lbs down so far, which I know is mostly water weight, but I’m not half as bloated which is good! Still feeling keto-fluey, so drinking tons of electrolytes.

Some breakfast ideas-

Make your own keto granola or pancakes.
The granola (delicious!)I have with KOKO unsweetened coconut milk. It's exactly like skimmed milk. You could also use Greek yoghurt
The pancakes I have with bacon and (pretend) maple syrup or poached eggs.
Also recently got into kippers either on their own or with poached eggs.
Berries and Greek yoghurt is good for if your in a hurry.

I started keto beginning of August, so 3 weeks in. Have lost 11lb so far :)

Have been doing ok and am so happy to be losing weight!

I have joined some facebook groups that are helpful.

I have the app carb manager so that I track what I eat and is really helpful to keep you within your allowances

Hi, I'd like to join too please. Only started keto a few days ago. I did join Weight Watchers last month with a friend but find I lose more on low carb that low calorie. Since I still have access to the WW app for another 2 months I'm inputting my low carb meals to make sure I'm not going crazy with the calories lol.

Last time I weighed myself was a few weeks ago, I was 16st 4 so I'm using that as my start weight. My goal weight is 9st 5 🙈🙈

And if anyone is interested, I came across keto KFC chicken recipe!!! Tastes just like the fast food but its keto and healthy Grin

Can I join please?

Done a bit of keto before, managed the fast 800 for a month and lost 7 lbs, but I struggled and fell off the waggon. This time I am determined, as I am nearing 40 and the weight is starting to affect my health - both mental and physical Sad

One thing that worries me is each time I go low carb it works, but the lure of carbs pulls me back and I end up putting on more weight than I lost! Could really do with some peer support from people who know how hard it is!

Starting weight: 83kg /13 St 2lbs
Target weight: 70kg / 11 St
Height 5ft 6

I’ll join! I’m currently 13.5lbs down. I’m doing Keto with intermittent fasting. My DP has lost 1some in three weeks and we both feel so much better in overall health and mentally.

My plan is to try and lose another stone but it’s going to be very slow as the scales is just inching down by around a pound a week or less. I’m in it for the rest of my life now though so it kind of doesn’t matter. I’ve listened to over 100 hours of experts discussing the science and I genuinely can’t go backwards now.

Things we use as alternatives to every day foods;
The black bean pasta mentioned earlier that Aldi sells
Protein noodles available in the chiller section of Lidl
Keto bread bought off Amazon (33 cals and 0.9g carbs per slice).
Veggie roots chips bought in Waitrose
Cauli rice bought in Tesco (individual sachets)
I’m going to make suede mash too I just haven’t yet. DP didn’t like cauli mash but I can add cauli rice to curry/bolognese and he doesnt notice.

I’m very sedentary currently so I’m joining the gym once the kids go back and I’ll be doing one exercise class a day. Plus hopefully (covid allowing) some weight bearing stuff in the gym.
