Who wants to join me? I’ve started and stopped keto for 2 months now with 0 weight loss! If anyone wants to join please let’s do together starting from today.

I’m an emotional eater. I get very sad and eat, I feel happy I eat, basically I just eat. Drinking is my issue too so after drinking I will binge and destroy any progress.

I’m planning to cut out all alcohol for 2 weeks and all fruits for 2 weeks. I know in keto you can eat these but I seem to not be able to stop.

I will also try to meditate and not let little issues get me upset. For next few weeks I will focus on myself and not be bothered too much of others. I basically worry and have anxiety about everything and everyone all the time.

Starting weight: 10 stones
Goal weight: 9 stones

Black bean pasta is not keto. Low carb yes but it's got almost 15g of carbs per 100g.
Root veg crisps are over 50g of carbs per 100g. Again lower carb than normal crisps but definitely not keto or low carb.

My DP is following low carb so the pasta and root veg is for him as he misses conventional food. He’s lost a stone in three weeks so it must be a million times better than standard pasta, bread and chips!!!

I’m a lot stricter and my weight loss of course is slow 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

justanotherneighinparadise · 01/09/2020 07:55

I think I have the nutritional values of the root veg chips saved to my phone. I’ll pop it on here.

The Aldi foodie market black bean spaghetti nutritional info says 1.6g carbs per 100g. My DP likes a carb sub too, so that’s his pasta fix.

Can I ask what the bread is please @justanotherneighinparadise, that’s something he’s really missing. Is it any good?

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 02/09/2020 09:16

Apparently Aldi are now selling keto friendly bread. Not sure if it's in the UK yet. Asda sells protein bread which is low carb and very high fibre, which also lowers the total carb count. You couldn't eat a lot but it's good if you fancy egg on toast now and again.

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 02/09/2020 09:30

Schneider Brot protein bread. Per 100g: 7.6g carbs, 13.8g fibre. Not sure what the values are for 1 slice. The pack is 250g and has 4 slices.

justanotherneighinparadise · 02/09/2020 14:42

We buy the best seller Keto bread from amazon. It’s £14.99 for three so not cheap. It’s 33 cals and 0.9g carbs pets slice. The slices are small though. I’d be interested to know what the Aldi nutritional info is for their Keto bread.

justanotherneighinparadise · 02/09/2020 14:42

I’ve just seen you were telling me the nutritional info. It’s annoying when they don’t tell you per slice!!!

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 02/09/2020 16:02

@justanotherneighinparadise I know!! I'm rubbish at maths and did try to work it out per slice but gave up Grin
Your keto bread sounds better than the one I suggested though!

justanotherneighinparadise · 02/09/2020 16:46

I’m waiting on a decent sized freezer to be delivered as I want to start batch cooking my own and I don’t have the freezer space currently. I honestly think we need to just work low carb products into our lives. It’s too easy for people to say it’s not sustainable. It is! You need to decided what your core family foods/recipes are and find substitutes. Then work them into a diet that’s rich in whole foods. None of that is difficult.

My DPs coming home tonight to two slow cooked beef ribs, suede mash and some green veg. Dessert is full fat Greek yogurt with strawberries. How is that unfulfilling?

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 02/09/2020 17:26

I agree. There are so many simple recipes online, I dont understand how anyone struggles to find meal ideas. I'm doing a fat fast just now so relying on google for inspiration!

ZiggZagg · 02/09/2020 19:14

Me please Smile

I've been doing low carb for 3 and a bit weeks- looking for inspiration, only so many omelettes you can eat isn't there?Grin Although have grown to be able to tolerate Cauliflower Rice!
