Morning campers!
Maintained this week. Not unhappy about that as I am in week 9.
But maybe a teeny tiny bit disappointed.
Hey ho.
I also have a big day out on Saturday which is going to prove challenging for me but I am happy I will make the right choices.

Thesoundofmusic23 · 26/02/2024 08:29

A lb for me. Have dipped lower but keep popping up so hopefully heading downwards still next week. Koko! Have a good week campers 🤩

LilianaVikavanovich · 26/02/2024 08:32

Dreadful weekend ( which started with a hot cross bun and ended with a brandy ) so I’m not getting on the scales until Wednesday

BIWI · 26/02/2024 08:33

Oh dear! What triggered that @LilianaVikavanovich?

Morning all, placemarking so I don't lose the new thread.

PurpleWhirple · 26/02/2024 08:42

Firmly back on the wagon here and I have been rewarded with a decent loss for the first time in a few weeks. Had a night away with pals and drank plenty of wine but made decent food choices (apart from ending the meal with a bloody delicious affogato with baileys)

Thank you for all your veggie prep ideas on last week's thread, I am all stocked up and ready to go for this week. Got a bit of a halloumi backlog to clear so I will be having that for lunch today: in the air fryer for 10 minutes with harissa, sprouts and olive oil, chucking in some spinach for the last couple of minutes and a squeeze of lemon at the end

PurpleWhirple · 26/02/2024 08:42

Hope you are feeling better BIWI, I have been up with rumbling guts all night so I'm hoping it's not the start of something, probably just the impact of my overindulgence on Saturday night

LilianaVikavanovich · 26/02/2024 08:43

@BIWI We had DD here for the weekend , heartbroken after a breakup , she’s lovely and I adore her and I think I did some comfort eating for her
We’re taking her to catch the train back to London today ( where she has no real friends and is lonely , so I’m worried about her all the time )

Mothers and daughters , it’s never ending

AllTheBlackCoffee · 26/02/2024 08:59

Bounced back up an lb from my lowest last week so just 1lb off for me this week. I am so pleased with that though as it's the first time I've ever managed to stick to the plan while on hol and proves it can be done (by me, I mean, I know others do it all the time, I'm just usually shite at it). And I found it pretty easy to be fair.

So on with this week. Back at my desk and feeling all the post-holiday feels. Not helped by DS not wanting to go to school (slight bullying issue) which almost broke my heart Sad Why are some kids so cruel?

Not had any breakfast yet so might give it a miss. Lunch, I feel, will be egg-based and tea was supposed to be the chicken, pesto and feta recipe I posted last week, but I've realised we ate the feta with last night's salad when I couldn't be arsed sorting the veg. Sigh! #winning

Almahart · 26/02/2024 09:05

Down 2 ibs. I think I am not being as strict as I should be - too many nuts and snacks so will start logging what I eat here every day

bluesupermoon · 26/02/2024 09:05

2.5 loss, think that's the most in a week so far this year!
Well done everyone. And thanks BIWI for the resent encouragement. Hope you feel better soon.

Actually I just went to put my weight in the spreadsheet and it's 1ib. Before menopause I would be absolutely dropping down the scales by this stage on BC. Sigh

AIBConsiderate · 26/02/2024 10:10

Woooooo 3lb down, I cannot say how relieved I am. I've been plodding along for what feels like the whole of February without really seeing any maintainable loss, whilst claiming that I was simply stuck on a plateau. And thank god I've jumped off it now. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with and trusting that it would come.

Someone mentioned Welsh cakes, and this is something that is hugely important to me too! We have my nanna's bakestone and we will definitely be getting that out later this week. But I've got time to plan now - I don't need to have more than one, I don't need to lick the bowl 😅, and it's not an excuse to jump off the bandwagon. These are the biggest long term lessons I need to learn to rewire my brain so that I can keep the weight off.

AIBConsiderate · 26/02/2024 10:10

And I can now go and get my plant pot!

Whicker · 26/02/2024 11:42

That was me @AIBConsiderate ! Have got the house full of daffs in anticipation. And will do a lot of leek-based eating this week, to limit the bakestone risk to just the Friday.

2lbs down this morning, which is excellent. 9lbs to the next stone threshold, which is my target for this BC.

AllTheBlackCoffee · 26/02/2024 11:45

Whoop whoop @AIBConsiderate enjoy your well-earned plant pot.

I'm feeling very emosh and stressed today and can feel the urge to 'eat' while having zero appetite at the same time. And by 'eat' I mean binge crap carbs and sugar. I've just had two LC cheese scones with butter and made myself drink some water while I wait for the feelings to pass. I know from past experience, this kind of feeling can easily derail me so posting here to say NOT THIS TIME! please

WitchWand · 26/02/2024 11:56

Hi everyone. Great to read the checkins.

A special hug to @LilianaVikavanovich and @AllTheBlackCoffee whilst supporting your kids - both young and old as they're going through emotional difficulties right now. I hope they feel strengthened by your care for them.

Well done for sticking to your plan @AIBConsiderate and shifting those 3lbs. Happy Plant Pot Day to you !

As for myself, I'm down a pound this week and very much in line with AIBConsiderate. I've been up and down this week after sticking to the bootcamp rules.

So, onwards ( and hopefully downwards ) we go this week. All the best to everyone !

WitchWand · 26/02/2024 11:59

@AllTheBlackCoffee May the force be with you.
Like you say, "Not this time." You can do this.

venusandmars · 26/02/2024 12:36

One pound up. Too much off plan during my trip to London, although thanks to BC, better than it might have been otherwise.

But today the sun is out, and if I get in a sheltered spot I can even imagine some warmth in it. Bring on those daffodils other spring flowers are available and a good long walk by the coast.

Magnolia82 · 26/02/2024 12:39

Well done everyone for the losses and for those continuing to keep trusting the process.

Sorry to hear about those of you with difficult circumstances and/or not feeling well.

I've lost 0.25 of a pound this week!

QforCucumber · 26/02/2024 14:58

little more off this week, not much and not as much as I'd have hoped - but it's the right direction, and I'm definitely feeling the appetite suppressing now which is fab!

EndlesslyDistracted · 26/02/2024 15:07

Back up 3lb this morning, hopefully some of that is water-related as I find it very hard to keep the intake up at weekends (we were out pretty well all weekend). It may also have been because of my birthday, as I have indulged somewhat with several meals out in the last week. Back to it today though.

Baystard · 26/02/2024 15:26

Interestingly this week I thought I'd have a small gain as I'm sure the scales aren't moving much but it's actually a 2lb loss. I'm weighing every day and objectively I'm making progress but I forget from one day week to the next and perhaps when I weigh less often this selective memory contributes to historical self sabotage. I koko.

Congratulations @AIBConsiderate and well done for persevering!

catwithflowers · 26/02/2024 16:06

STS. Not surprising really as we were away all last week and while I made mostly good food choices, much alcohol was consumed (and a pizza 🙈 It was bloody lovely though!) Am firmly in ketosis according to the stick so will just keep plodding on. Big salad tonight for dinner with bacon, egg and halloumi.

I agree with the previous poster who said that pre-menopause the weight seemed to drop off much more quickly. 😳

OldandTired66 · 26/02/2024 20:36

Two pounds off which is very welcome so hoping to do the same again this week. No major events to throw me off track this week, just hope the weather improves so I can get out a bit more!
