A quick peek shows some really good early results, with @UnOeufIsEnough and @loopylou3030 both hitting the half stone mark. Brilliant! Flowers

B: greek yog and cream again this morning, thought I had eggs in but DH had used them in something
L: 1/2 steak with rocket, parmesan and olive oil, romaine letter with caesar dressing
T: having a takeaway so getting a cheeseburger and having with no bun and some shoogled broccoli
Had all my water

Myself and DH live eurovison and usually get a takeaway every year and make cocktails, espresso martini usually. Going to try grated ginger and lime juice topped with sparkling water tonight instead.

@prettybird you look absolutely lovely!! I can see why you persevered with the red dress - so beautiful.

Me today:
B - Greek style yoghurt and double cream
L - salad leaves, ½ avocado, olives, baby plum tomatoes, 2 hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise.
D - Roasted leek, broccoli, yellow pepper, mushroom. Fried halloumi and bacon lardons.

Fluids - 6 cups decaf earl grey with almond milk, 1 cup decaf earl grey with full fat milk, 2 cups normal earl grey with almond milk (@ Costa - I'm sure it was sweetened because it was horrible!)
2 X 750ml water. I need to add one more this evening.

....lots of talc, doing the zip up st the front with me pushing the sides together and dh inching the zip up Blush

Then, a few mm at a time, me swivelling the dress around, pulling it up over my boobs and then dh yanking it up the final few cm. Blush

Took about 15 minutes Blush

Brunch: bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomato

Dinner: chicken, bacon and broccoli bake, topped with parmesan

Successful night away in Manchester for me which could easily have gone wrong. No time for tea (due to dashing to a gig straight from work) so we ended up in Five Guys at 11pm. And, readers, I bloody well went bunless at 11pm on a Friday Star. Not a chip passed these lips. Brunch this morning, in possible the most beardy, hipster place I've ever been and I ordered Shakshuka with halloumi and told them to leave out the bread (sourdough, naturally). There were moments that i thought I should just enjoy myself and eat the bread, but I decided to care about myself and still really enjoyed both meals.

Evening all, I’m on week 7 of the low carb diet and it’s going ok BUT I’m feeling really miserable! Is it just me?

I’ve lost a few pounds - but I’ve lost my mojo somewhere on the journey!

Can anyone relate?

baystard yep I’m doing keto, I’m eating 3 biggish meals snd a 1/2 snacks a day and I don’t feel hungry.

@glamourousindierockandroll OH WELL DONE!! It is so easy to just say 'yes' to the stuff we don't want, and as well as being great and caring about yourself, I bet you did not miss even a mouthfull of that doughy crap! And it is wonderful to enjoy yourself without compromise. That is JOY.

Can you tell us a bit more about how much weight you want to lose, and give a couple of days examples of what you have been eating?

so my Keto meals today:

B: egg bacon spinach and mushrooms (& butter)

L: chicken breast with onions garlic in tomato sauce + kale carrots
3 squares of super dark chocolate

D: dinner was sausages, loads of veggies in coconut oil… more super dark chocolate…

This ^is a good typical day…

I’m losing the weight gradually - Im just not sure I care anymore! Feel like I’m in the minority though?

Pretty - you are beautiful. The dress is fantastic.

@ketoonfire I get a bit meh about low carb. I find the scales motivating. but.
Carbs are like a drug. I think they actually are. Some part of our brain fires off when we eat carbs & fat. This is an immediate reaction, that our brain wants. The later reaction to eg. bread - the bloating. the hunger later, the weight gain - is not as instant, so our brains don't make the immediate connection.
So our logical brain does not want carbs, but our addicted brain wants the carb 'high'. I find I want carbs more in the evening when I am tired. When I 'play it forward' though, I realise I can eat enough carbs to feel unwell in one sitting.
