off to court for the first time in an ever increasingly nasty divorce (think seriously scary bunny boiler OW who is obsessed with my kids and has a harassment order against her - and an ex who hasn't paid the mortgage for 6 months just for starters but spent thousands of £££ on useless crap for the kids Xmas then emotianlly blackmailed them with the present - a man who now has to have supervised access after putting his kids in danger!!)

Anyway, just wanted to ask how scary is it going to court? Just going to sort out who pays for te nightmare fiasco it ahs become - we're back in court in feb for the finances. feeling very nervous now.

TIA

YAY!!!!!!! That was the most hideous experience of my life!!! BUT..... he lied in court and the judge picked him up on it!!! Also he only submitted his letter re contesting costs after 5pm yesterday so judge not happy with that either!!! he now has to pay all of his costs and 75% of mine!!!! he was such a cocky B@@@@@@ when we went in - there were others contesting too 1 woman and 1 other man. Ex and other man sat alone but me and the other woman sat beside each other in front row and gave each other so much moral support it was amazing. I ended up having to represent myself as his letter rivalled Enid Blyton for fiction - he earned £5k+ in Oct and Nov and just £3800 in Dec (I earn £6k a year) and he said he can't afford anything! The lies were amazing - wish he was paying what he claimed ot be but the judge cust him down. He didn't pay mortgage for 6 months but blamed nationwide and claimed it was 2 months - unfortunately he didn't use his argument that I was in cahoots with nationwide taking his money and sending out reposession letters just to make him look bad (yes!!! His mum believed it!! Wish i could play a building soc like that eh?!) Anyway, he caused all the extra expense with his ridiculous behaviour so only fair he pays it. Am feeling drained but having a glass of wine to celebrate!
SO pleased he lied in court and judge pulled him up on it!!!! Serves him right!
