I want to start this thread to show some of the things ex partners have done (and continue to do) to make life difficult!

My ex left his job so he wouldn't pay maintenance. I think this is common and nothing new.

My friends ex also did the same, but now charges my friend for "babysitting" his OWN kids.

My cousin's ex refused to look after HIS son, by going out and leaving the child ALONE in the house - well, the child was sleeping!

Can you guys beat this?

I guess I wanted to start this because I still couldn't get over how some people can be soo evil.

Violent towards all three kids and then says they are lying or making it up even after GPs and the police have seen them.

Called my dd fat at 7 years old.

Tells them he doesnt want to see them and locks them out of his house and then says he never said anything of the sort and wants more contact. Sulks and shouts. Says they have to accept new gf because she is now part of the family. 8 weeks after I chucked him out he told them he was going to marry her.

Threatens me and the kids with court all the time for not giving him extra contact after turning down contact because he is too busy. My eldest dd hasnt seen him for a year and a half and my ds hasnt seen him since Christmas when they had some massive rows. My youngest still sees him but is having social services intervention once a week to teach her about keeping safe after his last rough play session.

Didnt pay maintenance for two years, does now but only after I agreed with the CSA that he could have three months off a year because he was self employed!

Tried to stop me posting on here in court!

I could go on but actually things are better at the moment!

Very lighthearted thread!

Lol notdoingthehousework!

I spoke too soon, tosser of an X has just threatened us all again and is insisting on dd who still sees him phoning him to explain why she doesnt want extra contact over half term I wonder why that could be then?????

ivykaty44 · 15/02/2008 19:37

I must confess that my dd2 liked curry and I always timed the curry for the night before she visited her dearest father - of course she was still in nappies.....

singledadofthree · 15/02/2008 23:02

ah - knew it would work - Hi there bonkers

think i probably have gone bonkers now, but is a good end to the week.

goingbonkers · 15/02/2008 23:23

Hi again SDof3!! Hope you had a nice eve on Thurs? How that car comin along?

(Sorry to hijack the thread!!)

singledadofthree · 15/02/2008 23:29

was it you in the bath with a glass of wine while i was in a freezing garage? not quite how i would have liked to spend valentines night but am on my lonesome again.
expect you had the better deal there, tho the mini is nearly done, then out to test it in a friends field.

goingbonkers · 15/02/2008 23:32

Yes that was me. Didn't bother with the wine in the end. Settled for a cup of tea!! Was quite a nice eve.

Still- bet you had fun with the boys toys!!

singledadofthree · 15/02/2008 23:38

will be more fun to see him race - bought him a ready built racer and ended up giving it a full rebuild - lost the plot somewhere there. and it was only supposed to give me a bit of a distraction for the autumn - am happiest when working it seems - should be ecstatic by now. will buy meself one next year for some serious fun - tho still, friday nights are a bit on the quiet side and not going back out - is cold.

goingbonkers · 15/02/2008 23:48

Did you say you bought it for him?? Me thinks you bought it for you!!! Got to say I'm more the stay indoors with a hot cup of tea type in this chilly weather.

singledadofthree · 15/02/2008 23:52

well maybe - was a bit of a boy racer in me youth - seems to have rubbed off. as for staying indoors - chance would be a fine thing, work outdoors most days come rain, shine, whatever. a cuppa sounds good tho before i fall asleep at the comp.

goingbonkers · 15/02/2008 23:58

Sounds like you need to invest in a thermos!! Have we totally changed the whole point of this thread?? Think so!! Oops.

dingdong05 · 16/02/2008 00:04

this is not a lighthearted thread!
lol

I'm almost glad for the hijack
bonkers and sdof3, I've been reading this with my mouth agape at horrors recounted, so your tangent was a relief!

singledadofthree · 16/02/2008 00:06

you read my mind - was trying to think what it was about - at least its lighthearted. got distracted there with a long post on the dadsnet thingy - dont recall being on there .

and nah, dont need a thermos - am a tough northerner

goingbonkers · 16/02/2008 00:22

Thanks dingdong!!
I'm a northerner too, but not so tough!!

singledadofthree · 16/02/2008 00:22

so as not to be blamed for hijacking - when ex and i first split i returned to work and employed a nanny. when ex found out she threatened to move back in if i didnt stop working. oh - and i ahd to pay her to look after the kids as i was prepared to pay a nanny.
ah - the good old days, can at least look back with mirth tho. as for now, its cold and i'm tired - goodnight

singledadofthree · 16/02/2008 00:24

eek - youre a northerner too - hello.

goingbonkers · 16/02/2008 00:27

Yep! How far north do you dwell? I'm a Yorkshire lass

singledadofthree · 16/02/2008 00:29

i'm in the most northerly yorkshire - on the edge of the moors.

goingbonkers · 16/02/2008 00:35

Small world!! I am in the west of the county but almost bodering North Yorks

goingbonkers · 16/02/2008 00:36

Bordering.. not bodering!

singledadofthree · 16/02/2008 00:45

and you saw me wave from over the border - is cool

bought the mini off a fella in leeds - which must be westish. and have a brother in bradford - so there you go, is a small world with totally irrelevant coincidences - except to say hello - and goodnight, eventually - tho may sit here a little longer.

singledadofthree · 17/02/2008 22:13

hi bonkers - just trawled this out to say hope you had a great weekend with your littlun way out west.
