basically a message came in from a guy while this bloke was about, and it had a pic attached

i went to read it properly last night and it had gone

the nly thing i can think of is he has picked up and had a nose while i was out of hte room and deleted it!

zippitippitoes · 07/08/2007 10:32

I have deleted myself from plentyoffish and smooch (lol)

I am playing with soulmates but I only seem to attract the loons of all ages

zippitippitoes · 07/08/2007 10:33

you sound well rid of him

lou33 · 07/08/2007 10:37

well yes but then i decided he was going to be problematic because i got some messages to y phone, andhe was asking who it was, were they men etc. Then he said something about, if we are seeing each other blah blah blah, and i had to remind him that i hadnt said anything about us seeing each other

then yesterday he sent me a text saying he really wanted to se me again but i had to be truthful and if i am seeing anyone else i have to say, because he wouldnt want to see me

i told him i wouldnt be pressured into making a decision and as far as i was concerned i am a free agent until i say otherwise

wont be seeing him again !

zippitippitoes · 07/08/2007 10:41

so he wanted marriage commitment after two dates

zippitippitoes · 07/08/2007 10:43

there are some very fit blokes on there...especially if you live in camden

lou33 · 07/08/2007 10:43

lou33 · 07/08/2007 11:05

Another free one is www.flirtbox.co.uk, I registered in the spring and have just taken my profile off (seen all I need to on there). No willy pictures and if needs be you can have a block list.

I'm naturally cautious so out of 500+ messages I received, I only messaged 3 guys regularly. One was nice but too far away; the other two I met up with and both were gorgeous, and when I say gorgeous I mean far and away the best looking guys I've ever been for a drink with! One of them was a bit young for me really but we've got loads in common and are still in touch as friends. The other one I'm seeing regularly although it's v.casual atm.

I paid a fortune for match.com and it was RUBBISH everyone who messaged me was awful and there was NOBODY on there I fancied, I cancelled my sub almost straight away. Parentsalready just didn't work for me, I got no takers. Also tried 888dates which is an absolute meat market!

mommy2007 · 07/08/2007 21:22

hi ladies are you interested in aking your own dating website and getting paid for it?

lou33 · 07/08/2007 21:26

only if the men are all gorgeous and just for me

zippitippitoes · 08/08/2007 09:47

funny how some sites have such godwaful blokes on isn't it

I have a proflie on love and friends and paid although you don't have to and it has nice people but they just don't contact you ever or answer messages..total zilch waste of money

but there are some nice women on the forum but a dead loss for relationships..

the guardian one is nice to use and you can join free with a bit more limited use but good for testing and you can see everyone

lou33 · 08/08/2007 12:39

oh well here is an interesting question (i think, lol)

i've been chatting to a guy on pof and we have built up a v good banter, so when i come back from my break i am going to arrange to meet him

this guy is a wheelchair user, which makes no odds to me, in fact i contacted him, but during our conversations he has mentioned how being in a chair makes women uncomfortable

he's smart, funny, good looking, he just happens to have been in a wheelchair since he was 16 because he has spina bifida

so my question is, would any of you consider dating a wheelchair user?

zippitippitoes · 08/08/2007 13:08

I don't know....

but my reasoning is..as someone totally new to all this, unless you meet people then you can't really know what might happen

i imagine he is pretty independent so why not really

having said that i had a really nice email from a guy who is 73...and he is one heck of a lot more attractive than many half his age

he looks like a very interesting man and totally fascinating, so i might meet him but he knows that it would just be friends...

Girly · 08/08/2007 13:19

I would consider it lou if I got on with him. You never know he could turn out to be a very good friend.

As for a boyfriend, well that would depend on his physical condition if you get my meaning.

Am curious now....

charliecat · 08/08/2007 13:24

I think from, what lous said to me on MSN hes in fine condition
I said I wouldnt dismiss it, but at the moment in my life no, I wouldnt because, and this is awful, I had a fear of XP getting cancer before me and me being stuck looking after him knowing that if the shoe was on the other foot he would walk away from me at the slightest bit of trouble.
So im having, a crisis of somesort in that sense, cant quite explain what it is, but I do know that any sniff of can you do that for me would be met with hostileness right now, till I recover.
But after that, why not?

Girly · 08/08/2007 13:29

I want to see what he is like now! Go for it lou.

lou33 · 08/08/2007 16:38

lol, well despite the impression cc has given, i havent actually asked him if his tackle works, tho he has said its only his legs that are buggered, and he was married

i have no problem with the wheelchair, but i wondered if it was because i see ds2 with one day in day out, which has altered my perception?

anyway from what i know of him i would be chuffed to bits if ds2 turned out with the same attitude and confidence

he drives, works as a youth worker and teaches kids in chairs to play basketball, which i think is a great example of not letting your disability control your life

zippitippitoes · 08/08/2007 17:16

ok a couple of questions

giving your number..how do you not get overcome with embarrassment if they ring up?

so what do you say?

lou33 · 08/08/2007 17:21

i make them text til i say they can call

Girly · 08/08/2007 17:26

Lou is the queen of playing it cool, no wonder they are all falling at her feet

lou33 · 08/08/2007 17:29

that will be my stinky armpits

Girly · 08/08/2007 17:38

ha ha!!

Please tell me that is not on your profile lou?

lou33 · 08/08/2007 17:41

my profile says dont even think of sending me badly written porn, i might prefer my men younger, but not if i am old enough to be your mother, so dont bother getting in touch if you are

jolly happy stuff like that

Girly · 08/08/2007 17:47

You must be fighting them off with a stick with a profile like that

I think mine is too nice, need some tips from lou..
